The fun:
I took a trip up to Seattle with past Thursday. There were no issues with my liquid, or my 510 at security. The assembled 510 was in my jacket pocket which went through the x-ray machine, and two carts, and two 5ml bottles of liquid were in my plastic bag with the other liquids. No one batted an eyelash.
I took a few drags in the waiting area while I waited. And I took a dozen or so lovely drags during the flight. I chose to use straight 24mg liquid instead of the 60/40 concoction I've been using lately because the VG mixture (60 liquid / 40 VG) produces a lot of vapor, and I didn't want to call any additional attention to myself. It was lovely, there was no hassle, no odor, no "smoke" hanging in the cabin, and the people beside me didn't even seem to notice.
The bummer:
For the second time vaping on a plane, the result has been a dead atomizer. It worked on the way there, it worked while I was there, and it worked on the way back. But the day I got home, she died.
Not sure why this would be, likely a coincidence, but interesting to note.
