I have found myself trying to beat my wife to the Post Office, smuggle my vaping gear in, and stash it away. I feel she thinks I'm going overboard (I might be) but I just want to be prepared for the worst once regulations are decided on. She vapes some, but still smokes too. So she doesn't understand the possible urgency of the situation. I am a little OCD, so I probably am overdoing it a bit. I don't like the feeling of hiding anything from her but I can't seem to make her understand. So, does anyone else have a secret stash or try to keep things "out of site, out of mind" that your significant other doesn't know about?

My wife is very supportive of my vaping. She sees the significant difference that not smoking has made.

Besides she likes all those new appliances she has that were paid for by my old smoking budget.

I vape for free now. The only money that I spend is to just add to the stash.

I'm a bit lucky considering my so wouldn't want me to go back to cigs and I told her about the fda and all that so she's been okay about me stashing nicotine in the freezer. granted I need way more lol

Mine just doesnt seem to understand. I tried to explain it that I had rather spend some now and know its there, rather than either you can't get certain things at all or you are paying twice as much for it later.

+1 Roxynoodle (and thanks again for help with choosing a tank!) Secrets = Not Good. Someday she's going to stumble across the hoard.

I have 10 mods stockpiled, plenty of clearos, that kind of thing. There's not a word spoken in this household, but I'm very up front about it and the fact that a ban would be a disaster for me. None of the mods and clearos are anything that won't get used (except for the "oops" box, of course, but we all have that).

I guess you could ask her what she would do if cigarettes were being banned, or all but one brand she hates was.

Keeping secrets in a marriage tends to backfire in negative ways though.
I actually have posed that type question to her and she doesnt really seem to have an answer. I guess because there is no real threat to cigarettes, it's hard for her to imagine it. I just know I feel better now than I have in a long time and do not want to EVER go back to smoking. She did jokingly answer once that she would just use the stuff I have. Which is one of the reasons I buy. In case she ever does fully quit smoking.

Now if the regulations don't go through as we fear, or continually get delayed, we are all going to look like imbeciles :D

Naw, everything I have is something I'll use. Worst case, I simply won't need a mod for years.

I'll look like an imbecile if I get hit by a beer truck and never get to use this, however! Of course, I'll be dead, so I won't care, but...

Better to have and not need than need and not have.

To the OP: I feel your pain. My wife supports most of my vaping expenses but does throw out questions here and there. It could be a lot worse. My ammo orders always seem to arrive when she has a day off. I know she meant "no more than 2 cases" when I told her I was putting in an order for 7.62 but what she said was "no more than 2 crates."

Not wanting to argue with her about it I was a good husband and ordered 2 crates. I also saved the text message to cover myself. Guess who had a day off when the normal UPS truck didn't stop by but a freight delivery showed up......

    Not really.
All that stuff will get used eventually.
Way I look at it is that we will have beaten inflation at the very least.
