Hi everyone.. love this area of the forum!!!

I wanted to ask you guys for some advice. I have all the parts and tools I have needed so far and have been suggested on here as required, but the one thing I can't figure out how to do (and can't find explained anywhere really well) is how to secure the atty connector. In case I am being unclear (happens.. ask my wife), say I am building a box mod. I have the battery in, the wiring done, and the button secure etc... now I can screw my atty onto the connector, hit the button and it lights up... so now the only thing to do is to secure that connection down inside the box. I have seen how its been suggested to use epoxy etc, but that seems brittle and messy. Is there not a way to secure it straight to the wall of the box with something threaded? Same goes for my second mod attempt (when I get there), a torch mod... how do you connect it to the top of the flashlight?

Please help me finish this first mod... thanks.

The only ways of attaching the connector to the box or flashlight is super glue or epoxy-putty or epoxy glue, or glue gun.

It helps a lot to make the hole where you will place the connector a little bit smaller so it will fit tight.

Maybe you didn't mix your epoxy right, since you mention it is brittle?
it should be solid like a rock (almost).

I now use an RCA connector system and they come with a screw nut which allows me to avoid the glue altogether.

801 or 901? What are you using as the connector (i.e. connector from an e-cig battery, DIY connector)?

I want to do both 510 and 901 mods... I am salvaging connector from e-cig batteries... wish there was an easy way to leave it in there without destroying the battery tube, but right now I just dremmel the tube down until its easy to pull it out...

Is there another way?

Wait, you say there is only one way to do it (epoxy), then you say you are using RCA connector system... confused me.. but thats not hard.

So, how does this RCA connection system work???

It sounds MUCH better than gluing the connector to the box or flashlight...I looked at some of your links and see the pics and description, but not how its done. Awesome stuff by the way...If you aren't going to sell that stuff, perhaps you would be interested in teaching others how to do it??
