All new Reos shipping have gold plated beryllium copper firing pin and spring plus a button that can take higher heat without melting.

This allows the Reo to run lower sub ohm coils without issue. It also benefits those who don't sub ohm in that the system is more efficient at delivering power to the coil since the volt drop has been lowered.

If you have an older Reos with silver colored spring and firing pin, the rebuild kit on Rob's site will upgrade them, the rebuild kit was nick names the sub ohm kit.

I got my mini a few weeks ago. Did it come with the upgraded contacts or do I have to buy them separately?

Just a head's up for anyone that has the black circle door, I found that mine was a little on the prickly side, (because of the wrinkle finish), and it would catch when I was taking it in and out of my holster. Yesterday I did a clear coat on the door and now it is no longer catching inside the holster. Still kinda has a textured finish to it but no longer prickly. I think I did about 4-5 coats on it and you can't even tell its even there. I decided to use a matte finish since I don't like anything glossy and am very pleased with how it turned out. I'll post some new pics later. I bought it at Ace Hdwe but couldn't find a link for it, but here's the link from Krylon... Crystal Clear Acrylic - | Krylon

No rattling here :) fits as good as any REO door I have.

The circles family! Nice circles guys! I got the TRA one but had a question for those with circle doors...anyone noticing a rattling noise? I love the looks of this door but the loose fit is driving me batty. Is this common for this door or did I get a bum fitting one?:(
