Welcome to ECF and I am happy to see you have done your homework. The only suggestion I would have is that you might want to add some of the Boge LR 2.0 ohm cartos. They will work on the rig you bought and they are great when you can't drip or use carts (like when driving). They hold about 1ml of juice and last a long time. LF has them towards the botom of the main page.

I so agree with this as well, and again make sure they are Boge so that they will be very easy for you to fill and use, with
no needles/syringes needed.

Congrats on all and hope to hear how it all works for you

but my point is, there may be other juice suppliers who make a juice you like more than this one... i am not familiar with LF juices.. i go with companies that focus on juice only..

my point was don't overstock on one company's juice unles you know you'll like it...

Yeah, it seems that for kits and parts and accessories that LF is a great supplier, but they seemed to be lacking in selection on the juices.. - not so much because they don't have variety, but more than anything because they seem to be out of stock on most things.

But, because I wanted to get myself a full pack and start vaping away..I decided I'd get my first order from them. I think I will look at other e-juice specific vendors like you suggested, but I was just looking to dive in and get vaping at the moment and then I'll work on my preferences.

Thanks for the info...any favorite vendors of yours? It looks like freedomsmokeusa is a good bet, a bit more pricey than others..but huge selection and I love the +flavor and % based PG/VG mixing options they give you.

Thanks again!

1. Since you live so close to LF and they'll let you pick up in person, you don't have to stock up like most of us do. If I were you, I'd keep two spare unused cartos and 20 mL's of juice on hand at any given time. When you have to start using one of your last 2 cartos and/or start vaping from your last 20 mL of juice, it's time to replenish your inventory. The 2 carto/20 mL juice rule should keep you in business if worst comes to worst and you have to make it through a 3 or 4 day weekend or something like that.

2. Yes. An empty cartridge with the filler removed is just fine for using as a mouth piece when dripping directly on to your atty. You just can't drip through it and will have to take it off to drip more juice on to your atty.

5 minutes from Liberty Flights...

Thanks for the advice on the drip tips and back-stock recommendations.

And.. being that close to LF is amazing..I'm super excited...although I'm already predicting, based on my limited email correspondence with them, that they will be super friendly and helpful and that I will likely spend way too much money buying new toys from them due to their nice easy access for me :)

Liv2Ski, (side-note: I've skied my entire life and it is my favorite activity in the world, so I think you get dibs on coolest ECF name so far, in fact, it was the only time I don't crave analogs...go figure)

But, I digress. After doing a lot of research last night... (apparently until I get my pv I am substituting ECF for Analogs..lol) I found that a carto will probably be where I will end up headed anyway so I went ahead and picked up 5 of them. When I read your response i truly didn't understand the drip/carto/cart+ato processes and now I'm a lot more comfortable and I think you are spot on in recommending some cartos, thank you for the recommendation.

Here is what the order looks like now... (shorter version)

2 x Riva510 Setups
5 x 5ml PG 24mg various flavors
1 x 5ml PG 36mg mint
1 x 5ml PG 18mg choc
1 x 30ml VG 24 mg - Fruit Mix (for cutting and Every day vape)
5 x boge cartos 2.0 ohms
1 x Extra Ego Cone

All have been purchased from Liberty-Flights...and oddly enough as someone mentioned above, if you are in the SD area you can go pick up same day M-F 9-5. I was really excited to hear that since they are about 5 minutes from my house. Having a seemingly great supplier near me is a god send for success I think.

Last questions before I place the order..

1. I haven't purchased and extra Ato because I ordered the cartos. I know cartos are priced to be disposable, but if you follow proper cleaning and care steps (keep it wet!) I should be able to substitue those for the extra atomizer, correct? Extra Ato would only be necessary if I was using carts and needed a third for back-up as I understand it.

2. Dripping with Riva510/eGo ... I couldn't find a good drip tip from Liberty-Flights that was in stock so I decided to hold off on purchasing one. My question..with the setup on the eGo class PVs is it possible to just drip onto the ato and then put the atomizer cone over it and use a blank cart as a piece while I experiment with dripping? Or will I be missing parts of the experience without the tip?

Thanks again for all of the info, you guys and gals are awesome!

Thanks Stifle I would sell my house for a lift ticket and in fact my skiing addiction has caused some of the most heated debates in my marriage.

1. The extra atty is always good to have. Once you quit smoking the worts thing to have happen is no atty, juice or batt. You can always add one to your next order. Yes there will be many more orders so all is well. For me I do not waste my time cleaning cartos. After two weeks I chuck them. At $9/box they are not worth my effort but others have been cleaning them and it seems to work for them.

2. You can drip and add an empty cart (sans filler) and vape away. Or if your careful and do not get tghe atty too hot you can tailpipe it. Just drip and vape right offf the atty. Use about three drops on the bridge and recharge when more juice when flavor/vapor production diminish

Thanks to everyone who helped me on my wandering path to finally placing an order. I'm still waiting to hear back from Abe and Ty at LF about possibly coming in and picking it up, but I should be up and vaping (with something a heck of a lot better than my 7-11 PV) by Tuesday or Wednesday.

I'll post a third installment about my newb journey into vaping when everything arrives and I get a few hours to really play with it and see what I like best.

Without the confidence the people in this community provided me with...I would still be staring at year and years of choking myself to death on these nasty analogs.

Nicotine addiction is something that is difficult to quit, as almost everyone here truly understands. But, being able to rely on the information from people at ECF to help me make a positive change that in my life that is not only much safer for me, but also (i'm assuming here) many times more enjoyable... is really a great thing...

my hats off to the entire ECF community...thank you.

p.s. - I'm way too excited right now!

no problem... just passing on some info learned the hard way; i have way too much juice that might not get touched...
i only vape the juice that i love and there are quite a few; but i've ordered way too much finding out..

my advice is to get just sample sizes untill you find what you like.... if you estimate vaping 3 to 6 mil a day (that's a lot!) it would take you a long time to go through a 30 mil.... not to mention the 5 mils slew you seem to be getting...

i'm happy for you... hope it takes you away from analogs.

I'm very excited..I am to the point with analogs that I am tired of stinking and wheezing all day, but I know I won't be able to stop it entirely and vaping seems like a much more healthy and fulfilling use of my smoking vice.

I'm pretty sure I am going a little over-kill on the juice at the moment as well..but I think it is unlikely that I won't want to try all of these at some point and I'd like to test a lot in order to start to acclimate myself to PVs as quickly as possible with a few flavors I enjoy.

If I end up with left over e-juice..as long as I can store it in a safe place away from my dog and keep it away from any visting children I'm happy to keep it for emergency backup!

You've been a lot of help..thank you!

Yes do let us know how you like your gear, especially the Boge cartos!!!! Enjoy and big clouds to you. Sounds like once you get your rig you will be one of the lucky ones who quits within the first week. I know I did and have no regrets!

I hope so!

Taking a quick trip but I should be back on in a day or two and have some feedback to report on the new tasty clouds I'll be forming by then :vapor:.

Thanks liv2ski for all your help, it's been great!
