So I ordered one of the new joyetech eGo-c's and it's scheduled to be delivered tomorrow...I remember reading somewhere that you have to break the atomizer in, or blow it out, or else you're going to get a nasty "plasticky" taste to it. What exactly is meant by blowing it out? I can deduce that breaking it in would be to just use it until it's broken in, but I'm just a little confused by the blowing it out...any help is appreciated.

It's packed in some kind of nasty fluid is all. Here's what I do. Wipe it down first with a paper towel. Put it in the cone & hit the button till you hear it pop. It will only pop like that the first fire & only takes a split second. I then hit it again for 1-2 more fires. Then your good to put the cart in. Take a couple of primer hits with out hitting then button just to get some juice in the atty. Then have at it. I usually don't inhale the first couple hits.

Here's what's important. Take a paperclip & push the wick into the spike about half way. Other wise your going to keep getting dry nasty hits.

Thanks for your help, I just received my new "toy" today :D and followed your steps...worked like a charm. One thing: I put the tank in, twisted it a bunch of times, ensuring to puncture the cap. Took a drag...dry and nasty...took the tank out...cap wasn't punctured...took a needle and punctured it with that...put it back in...couple of primer hits, then fired it up, full flavor and vapor! Thanks again!

Yeah you gotta push it in till it seats all the way in the cone. Pretty sure you already figured that out. Sometime I would get where the hole in the cap would leave a little flap from where the spike punched through & would cause occasional dry hit. I would just either bite of the piece of plastic or pull it off with some tweezers.

Not sure if you've seen it already but here's a link to cleaning those atty's. I use 100vg so I clean mine after they start to lose flavor or I feel like it's just not satisfying me enough. I just keep rotating them. They really last a long time if you just keep them clean.

Glad your liking it. Pretty cool little pv once you figure out those few little tricks.

Yeah, it's definitely a nice pickup.

And yeah, I had the flap, I just bit it off and no problems with that. I think I prefer the hard cap over the silicone one.

Are you using LR or SR atomizers?

Also, I went ahead and ordered myself some eGo Vision Clearomizers, since they've gotten such raving reviews from what I've seen. I plan on using those when I'm away from home and don't have as much time to fiddle around with things. You should check those out.

I have both the LR & SR. The LR isn't anything to brag about. I thought they'd be a big difference but weren't really.

Now I just use the lr emdcc & only use the tanks for tasting liquids which is still really convenient.

I get my lr emdcc's at vapingzone. Superfast shipping & great prices.

Oh, I also have the silicone caps as well. Don't really care for them. The hard caps work well with no leaks. I got the soft as just a back up.
