Seeking: Your totally subjective opinion on a good refillable ecig (entry-level)

Hi all,
I'm hoping to get away with breaking new member forum etiquette and asking for an answer to a hugely variable question: What electronic cigarette should I buy?

The diversity of options made what I thought would be an easy buy quite difficult, so I'm hoping to get the opinion of members here. No need to explain pros or cons for each unless you want to.

I smoked a friend's ecig yesterday and loved it. Not sure what it was, but here's an expired ad for it. I smoke maybe 10 cigs a day.

I'm after primarily a low cost setup that isn't rubbish or dangerous. Something around $50 (I'm in Australia) would be great. I would only want a refillable setup so I don't need to source cartridges. Adjustable voltage and similar features aren't important to me.

That's it really.

Lastly, do small refillable ecigarettes exist? Something like Njoys? They would be ideal. I saw this youtube video about refilling non-refillable cigs, but it seems dodgy.

Thanks!!

It looks like the one I'm the ad that you posted is an ego style, they are fairly easy to come by online for a fair price. If your want the bigger vaporizer then I would go ahead and pick up one of those. There are a lot of other people on here that know more about them than I do, but if you want something smaller (there really isn't anything that is refillable that is equivalent to an enjoy) but KR-808D are going to be closer to the size of a analog and are refillable. That is what I use and I go through about 2 batt's per day, and approx 2-3 mil of juice and that isn't that much to carry, the case I keep everything that I would need for 2 days worth of vaping isn't much bigger than a deck of cards. For those I would recommend either bloog max fusion (this is my brand) or the smokeless image volt, I would say you should check out both websites they both have different sizes and models to suit your needs.

Small e-cigs definitely exist, though how easy it will be for you to get I wouldn't know. Hopefully some other Australian vapers will chime in to help.

If you want an e-cig exactly the size of a real, king-sized cigarette then your only option is the Colibri Nano/Micro from epuffer.com. They are pricier than what you're asking though, not including your shipping costs.

Next sized up is something like the Blu or Volcano. These are l88b batteries and when assembled with a carto are about the length of a 100-sized cigarette and only slightly larger in diameter.

Modern Vapor offers the Sidesho, which is a j108 battery at modernvapor.com. I'm not sure if they ship outside the U.S. though; if not then feel free to send me a pm if you're interested in it. It is also about the size of a 100, but the battery life is twice that of the other 3 mentioned.

Next size up is the Joye 306. It's actually the same length as the Sidesho but just a hair larger in diameter.

After that comes the 510 or 901/808 sized devices. I find these to be large for my own comfort. I'd say they're about the size of a cigarillo. Most people start with these, and these are the devices most commonly re-branded.

Next size up is the eGo and vGo; the only difference between the 2 is the inner thread type. These are about the size of a cigar, and are the first step into VV devices.

After that comes a slew of mods, which I really can't help you with. The larger the device, the better the battery life.

Good luck.

Ego's are reliable but you do have to charge batteries, so make sure you buy two. It is much easier to buy a mod and rechargeable batteries that you can change while on the go, but being a newbie you might want something simpler to begin with. 808D is what I started with and I ordered fro V4 Life. They have a huge selecion and you can get blank cartos and refill them or you can order pre-filled if you want to start with them. They are in the supplier's list here on the Forum:vapor:

I am not new to vaping, about a year now (but new to this forum) and I have tried many. I have used the smaller refillable's and like them but eventually if you vape enough you will probably switch as I have to the larger battery versions. I found that it isn't as much what your using as it is what you put in it to use. Most function as advertised but you have to like the fluid your using. I would ask your friend what type of juice he was using in the one you tried. Start small and if you like it build from there.

Good advice.

You sound like a perfect candidate for an eGo Twist/Vision Spinner battery with a clearo like a Vivi-nova/Kanger T3/iClear30. These are what I've been using for the last few months and I'm very happy with them. I will warn you though, vaping is like boating. It's not long until you get 'two-foot-itis' and start looking for bigger/better/shiney-er! :D
