I know they're basically apocalypse-proof (from what I've read anyway) but let's say I wanted to throw it into the bottom of a backpack while I went skating and didn't want it to cop unnecessary beatings.

do any of you chaps know of an either dedicated or suitable holder? expensive leather customs are cool, $5 "make it fit"s are cool.

I too want to know the answer to this. so far I keep it in my pocket while hiking to avoid it bouncing around in my backpack but would prefer it in my backpack in a nice protected case. For now I use a drawstring cloth baggy. I checked and it will fit into my EGO battery case, but, I prefer to use that case for other things, ie juice bottles, tweezers, etc and that one extra backup mod that I feel that I don't need to carry with me but still do

I have a small hardshell camera case that I use when I want it seriously protected. When I want it lightly protected I throw mine in a sunglass pouch that has a little drawstring on the end.

I don't know if these particular ones fit so don't buy it based on my links - but am showing you what I use so you can get a visual idea.

I actually have a couple of things that I use which have turned out really well.

One's a belt case that it slides nicely in:
Accessory - Tobeco - Large Belt Case - ECBlend

The other is for the car, designed for the Hana, but obviously fits the REO as well as a Mech Mod really well:

Something like this might be good? I use pelican cases for my nice camera equipment - they are indestructible! You would need to take measurements but they have several sizes.

I used some upholstery fabric to make covers for my REO's. It is not tough to do. It also allows me to use a lanyard.

These covers really keep the finish nice and add a measure of protection if they are dropped.

Cigar Caddy for 5 cigars....

I have one in yellow. It will hold two grands ready to rock and makes them even more bullet proof. When traveling this is what I use in my brief case or back pack.

I really like it. But my Reo is new and I don't want to cover it up! Maybe after it has worn some.

$25 for real leather and not some imitation leather is a steal in my book. And hand stitched to boot. :2c:

Probably not needed down there, but when the temps start dipping below zero up here, it will be nice.
