I was just wondering how the center pin adjusts, is it spring loaded, should I actually feel it move when applying pressure to it, or does it work when screwing the tank down, and it self adjusts with screwing pressure?
Which Provape product are you asking about? The ProVari Classic, (tapered top cap) has a non-adjusting center pin, it is fixed and sealed.
The P3 has a floating center pin, which is also found only on the Titanium Classic ProVari, and the pin is held by a grommet, which can be compressed some while screwing the atomizer on. Hope this helps...

w/fatdaddys 510 its spring loaded meaning if depressed and then released it will pop back up to its extended position, so yes to " is it spring loaded, should I actually feel it move when applying pressure to it"
The spring-loaded pins have a tendency to eventually cause problems or fail. ProVape engineered the "floating pin" in the P3 without a spring. I think it's using a somewhat flexible but very durable material of some sort surrounding the pin that allows it to move. So you may be able to depress it, but not very easily. The bottom line is that it is supposed to allow some flexibility to accept atomizers with slightly differing lengths to their 510 threads and pins.
