Self Cleaning

My Fifty-One Trio manual says that it cleans itself after 1500 puffs and the light will stay on 20 seconds while it does this. It doesnt go into detail as to how it does this action. Does anybody know how this self cleaning process happens? Seems a little far fetched to me.

I've never heard of Fifty-One Trio (ZOMG those prices!). What you describe basically sounds like it's doing a dry burn of the atomizer.
