According to the news - they are cigarettes.

The Daily Mail a national UK newspaper says 'nicotine loaded cigarettes'

From the Daily Mail Site

"The budget airline has returned to the days of puffing away on flights by allowing passengers to get their nicotine fix from smokeless cigarettes.

Nicotine-loaded cigarettes that are apparently odourless and smokeless will be available from duty-free on board most planes as part of a month-long trial."

It is quite a long article.

Information is also on the ATW airline site saying the same.

I have used the Aeros in my prevaping days in an attempt to curb my nic fits while working those ungodly 14 hour flights, and they are purely aweful... The throat hit is there... to the point it feels like you are having your throat sandblasted while inhaling a pile of glass dust! The menthol flavor isnt too bad, but intensifies the throat discomfort... I couldnt get enough liquids to put out the fire that was blazing in my throat from these things!

Maybe its a ploy by Ryan Air to get pax to buy more beverages! I wouldnt put it past them!

On a side note.... Selling ecigs onboard passenger aircraft is a brilliant idea, and one that I have suggested to my inflight department numerous times! We are a small military charter, so things run a little differently. We tend to have over 1/2 of our passengers on any flight that are smokers, and when we make tech stops where they can not get off to smoke... well... lets just say it makes the flight that much more difficult for everyone involved!

On a long international flight I would bet that the majority of smokers would buy a disposable kit even if it was $20! Not to mention that it would introduce a lot more people into the vaping world... the more supporters we have, the better chance we have at this going mainstream!

Safe Travels,
