OK I have never done a forum before so bear with me. I bought an ecig from a mall vendor (I KNOW, I KNOW!!) and I have had nothing but problems while my friend who got the same model has no problems! I keep getting a nasty taste in the vape and the carto (?) looks yucky! I have taken it back twice now and he SOLD me a replacement carto (with atomizer built in??) for $20. I have sunk a lot of $$ in this thing because overall I really love the whole vapping experience. So much so that I went online and got another starter kit (eGo-T, 1100mah, LCD, type a) thinking I just got a knock off from the mall vendor. I am trying to limp along on this thing until the snail delivers my new kit in 2 weeks (depending on current of pacific ocean). Suggestions on how to get rid of the crappy taste? I have read soak in vodka??

I'm a big fan of the eGo-W (and the very similar Riva-T) systems that are out there. I'd love to be able to help. Does your setup (particularly the carto portion that you have paid to replace) look like the 4th picture in this link?

eGo-W Starter Kit

If so, then you do have an eGo-W system. If so, do you see liquid through the window on the side of the cartridge (clearomizer, w-mizer, whatever we want to call it. the working bits...)?

You have sunk more money into another knockoff. That one isn't a Joyetech either and given that it copies the Joyetech "eGo-T" it may be low quality since they have no name to protect.
If you're trying to get a genuine Joyetech stop trying to save money, they use a minimum pricing model.

After a dry burn on my eGo-C I use an ultrasonic with vodka to get the taste out of the atty and cone. You can get cheap ultrasonics at Walmart.

Don't know about soaking in vodka. My suggestion - get a better unit. I made that mistake, started with a Greensmoke, cost me too much money, batteries wouldn't last, cartos are expensive, refilling them yourself WILL eventually kill your battery (I killed 2 of them). Finally ditched it (keeping it as backup only) bought a Lavatube and some juices, trying flavors, loving the new vaping experience! Of course, I spent too much money but I think I'll be able to slow down now. Need to learn to not get everything I want (got a bad case of the "I wants"... LOL!) and vape what I have on juices now. ........... Good luck with the new unit. What did you buy and why is it taking so long to get it? Did you order from a chinese vendor? I waited 3 weeks for cigs.com shipment of juices........ Won't do that again.
