New to the forum but ive been vaping on and off for a few months now. Still havent completely dropped the analogs. I started with an Ego and have since tried the tank system, and some dual coil cartomizers. Both failed miserably for me. Im struggling to find a reliable system. Ive been using 100% VG which i suspect might be part of the problem. The cigarette shape is not important to me, i just want a large holding capacity, all day battery, massive clouds of vapor, and reliability. Is that too much to ask! haha. Does any one have a how to for an easy box mod type deal? I love to tinker.

Check out Welcome to MadVapes LLC for easy to do box mods. Depending on your tinker skill level you could easily do a 14500 3.7v mod for around $20 or less including a couple of batteries and a charger. A single 14500 may not get you all day, but if you're willing to spend a little bit more you could parallel a pair in a 3xAA box and get all day out of it or step up to a larger 18650 battery as well.

As far as large holding capacity, you might want to consider going with a carto tank set up. There's a few premade ones, damn it someone had a nice list and now I can't find the thread it was in. However since you're a tinkerer you can join the rest of us in the http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...756-homemade-syringe-tank-mod-looks-easy.html thread and build your own.

As far as tons of vapor, I like CCV's 1.7 Resurrectors with my tank. Good TH and plenty of vapor, however I use a 70/30 or 50/50 blend so I'm not positive on how well they wick 100% VG.

IMR 14650 HIGH DRAIN BATTERY
...and life will be golden...the cartos listed(truly rock) will hold near 2ml of juice and with the syringe tanks will hold as much as 5ml...I vape about 5ml and the stock batts(cheapies) in the e-Power kit will give 12-16 hrs of usage and the hi drain IMR batts are lasting near 18hrs...madvapes.com did sell boxmod kits but are out of stock right now and if you join in the conversations and get ur 5posts, you can join in over in the modders forum..........
madjack:2cool:

p.s. the ePower is sold by many vendors and the cartos are the same as the ones sold by CCV(cheaper) as the Resurrector and by Smoktek as the reJuvenator because of what they do with 3.7v devices.........mj

Additional note on batteries:

Only use Protected Li-Ion or Safe Chemistry (LiMn like AW IMR) batteries in mods and treat them with respect. Mishandled/abused batteries, especially unprotected ones can "vent" which is a good thing since a failure to vent can lead to thermal runaway essentially turn them into small incendiary grenades. There's more info on this in the modding forum stickies, as well as how to's and other fun things.

A second note on LR (low resistance) cartos/atties and batteries:

Some vapers have noticed LR cartos tripping the protection circuits on their batteries, it seems the smaller batteries 10440's and some 14500's are the primary targets of this. Generally I prefer AW IMR's when dealing with LR cartos, since their drain rate is high enough to power them well and there's no chance of tripping a protection circuit on them. General rule of thumb though, use the biggest battery that will fit the application.

Madvapes might Not ship to Canada. I know the stopped shipping there some time back, although they were talking about only shipping hardware to Canada. Not sure if they have started doing this.

I believe GoodProphets.com - Your View into the World of Vaping... still ships to Canada and while it has a smaller selection of modding stuff (particularly batteries) you can find most if not all of what you'd need there to complete a box mod as well.
