Senate Bill S510 passed this morning. If you don't know about it, better google it and learn.

It is now illegal to grow your own food and sell it or give it away to friends, family or neighbors. It is also illegal now to collect and store heirloom non-hybrid seeds.

The Bill passed this morning. I don't know how long it will take to go into effect, but it's been passed. buy your seeds now so that you won't starve if the rapture is delayed.

In these last days, if you don't have the mark of the beast, you won't be able to buy and sell. Growing your own food is going to be the only way you will be able to feed your family. They are putting the laws into place now to prevent you from doing that.

I was just on the senate.gov Website and I get the 'impression' this Bill extends only to 'food importers'... but please, anybody, feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I'm a lowly doll maker that must work almost constantly to make a living... (lol)

S. 510, the Food Safety Modernization Act

This bipartisan legislation would overhaul our current food safety system, which has failed to protect far too many Americans and will continue to fail them unless Congress improves the nation’s food safety laws. The legislation would address a number of the weaknesses of the current system by, among other provisions:

Giving the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) the authority to recall foods when firms fail to voluntarily recall products on their own, when a food is adulterated or contains undeclared allergens and will cause serious adverse health consequences or death to humans or animals;

Requiring the Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS), within three years of enactment, to publish a notice of proposed rulemaking that would establish a national trace-back system;

Requiring food importers to perform food safety supplier verification activities and prohibit the importation of food by an importer if they do not undertake food safety supplier verification activities;

Expands the nation’s current food facility registration laws requiring all food facilities (excluding farms) to register with the FDA biennially and gives the FDA the authority and the assurance that it will be permitted to inspect registered facilities as permitted; and

Requires all registered domestic facilities (excluding farms) to identify known or reasonably foreseeable hazards and implement preventive controls to significantly minimize or prevent those identified hazards.

Yea, I think it might "appear" that way, just like the Patriot Act "appears" to target only terrorists. The problem is in the definition, their wording and their definition of a "terrorist" and their definition of a "food production facility" or whatever.

This is how they get their foot in the door and the laws on the books that will eventually hurt us all as they can use these laws to apply to anyone that they want.

yeppers... it all starts out 'innocently' enough... (for our protection) and ends up eating away at what's left of our personal freedoms and rights. I sense a definite 'snake' hissing in the grass here.... does this remind you of something else? (lol)

You want to know what's really evil? I have a dentist appointment this afternoon to get a simple small cavity filled. It's going to cost me almost $250.00 just for a filling. No kidding.

Oh! Tell me about it sister.... same thing for me just a couple of years ago. Can't afford to have teeth anymore.... (lol)

More about this bill here: Senate passes bill to boost food safety inspections, oversight in wake of deadly outbreaks - latimes.com

This Bill could apparently 'bankrupt' small Farmers and Farm Markets. Farm Markets are about my only sources for truly organic vegetables and fruits that still 'bear seeds'....

Oh yeah! The Amish! (Wish I could live as they do.. seriously, I'd give up the electricity, clothes, all of it if I could) Seriously.

NO, E! Don't give up clothes! Keep wearing them! (Sorry....it got the better of me. I've needed something to make me smile.)

Unfortunately, I need some comforts....like a heating pad. I sleep on an electric heat pump pad at night. But, I guess I could take up drinking. J/K! Icy Hot stuff works okay for X amount of minutes, but not for too long. I'll find a way, here.

You made MY day with this one! :)
