Hey all,
Today the top cap with the 510 threading on my Sentinel v2 was having issues. Went into my local supplier and some 510 connectors would not screw onto the top cap. Ack!!! My RSST was only catching by 1/4 thread. Later in the afternoon, the RSST no longer threaded onto the device. Ugh.... Nobody carries spares for this either.
Fortunately, I got home and attached my kayfun Lite. Whew... Screwed on no problem. Thought I was screwed for a minute. Lol
Most of the Sentinel is made of aluminum. Threads on this aluminum can, and obviously do, wear down. Next week ill have my machinist make an insert to fix the mod. Easy enough, just a pain to have to do this on a $160 device.
Has anyone else had this issue? Sentinel 510 thread getting loose and even failing?
