Separated drip tip

I have a friend who has a glass drip tip that was attracted to a metal base for fitting. She used a cinnamon flavor and I believe that it reacted with the adhesive and broke it down and now the glass is separated. Is there an epoxy or glue that is safe to use but can resist juices? Please help!

I have been under the impression that epoxies are chemically inert once dry but I would defer to someone who knows more about that topic.
