Series Box Mod Burnt Flavor

Hello all,

So I've had this series box mod for several months now and haven't been too impressed. I make my own max VG e-liquid that I use for this mod and have experienced unpleasant burnt flavor. The coils I use is a dual 24g/12 wrap setup (they're pretty massive coils) that read at about 0.55 ohms. The cotton I use is organic Japanese cotton.

Each time I change my cotton the burntness seems to go away -- but after a few days of vaping it comes back with vengeance. Maybe I'll just switch to DNA 200 and nickel builds.. Any thoughts?

Is it an unregulated series box mod? If so, you're throwing nearly 130 watts at those coils on a fresh charge, not accounting for voltage drop or internal resistance. Re-wicking often is going to happen with a setup like that. Also, those coils have a lot of mass and I'd imagine they cool down slowly, vaporizing juice during cool down and maybe burning a bit of cotton if the wicks aren't wet enough.

If it's a regulated series box, never mind. Lol. And a +1 on switching to rayon.
