Well, that might work. If it's running relatively hot it's not going to kill you or anything. The issue will be the heating coil in the cart is getting hotter than optimal. That's going to evaporate the liquid in the cart faster than optimal. So it's either going to go dry quicker than it would on the battery. Or if you power it too long you will create a dry spot in the filler that singes. Once that filler in there singes it's gonna taste nasty no matter what.

see i understand that concept, thats why i was asking if 1amp is too high. well, i guess the onlything i can really do is just use it and find out. if it tastes like crap il just throw it all out and wait till i get money for something alot better. thanks to everyone who replied. i appreciate the input.

small update. found a different usb wall dongle with 300ma didnt even vape anything. im guessing 1 amp is just enough to start vape production.

The amps in this case, for what you are using, really doesn't matter. You have up to 1 amp available for the carto. The carto itself is only going to draw what it needs. You want to have enough mA's current for your situation. Too little and it would damage the DC power supply - not the carto you are attaching to it.

so should i find a different power supply or use a computer? the 300ma is still working for my bluetooth, it just didnt do anything for my passthru.

ok. was about to see about grabbing a "new" wall charger for an ipod/ipad since i see they get 2.1amps. and i kno they dont last as 2 packs or a carton. my first ecig "21 century" got me aware of that when a cart lasts a day and a half.... like a regular pack of smokes normaly does. thanks for all this info. i hope to be getting a great vape in the future with a tank or something of that nature. any one have a specific to recomend, feel free to pm me.

Agree with don't mess with your computer. You will be drawing too much current and could fry the motherboard.

i had those same problems and did not return it, it eventual (within months) went bad. return it for a replacement.

im looking at Ego t's right now. is there any good options as a cartomizer? so i dont have to purchase attys and carts seperate? and looking at the order screen, the atty that comes with it can be 4 diff resistances, witch resistance is best in your oppinion?



just came accross a reveiw for Halo triton. any one here think its any good? rather then buying a kit im opting in buying one battery and charger and Cartomizer for half the price.

not sure if its safer but i came up with a new idea instead of a usb passthru. seeing as its 5v and the chart for vaping i notice its very narrow for being succsesfull, i opted for a lower volt solution. i taped 3 aaa batteries in a series, so it powers 4.5v and i have taped a wire to the possitive connection. i insert the wire into the center hole of the cartomizer and then bring the negitive end of the battery series and touch the threads. its vaping just like the ecig before it took a crap on me.

The general consensus for the eGo-T seems to be that it actually works at its best potential with the Dual Coil Cartomizers for eGos, if you go that route all you have to do is get a USB Passthrough eGo-T battery and a pack of DCCs, then whenever they go just get some more.

i was endlessly browsing thru millions of ecigs and what seems more NEWB friendly. usb passthru is reliable power, but i need something portable. ive descided on the triton. buying all parts seperate for half the price, and getting a bottle of VG from walgreens till i can get the cash for jewce.
