serious carto noob

Ok guru's, this is going to be an incredibly easy answer for those of you experienced with cartos...I ask only that you don't laugh too hard at me!
Very new to this, I have a no name locally bought SR carto that I am getting ready to fill...my question is about the rubber seal at the top of the carto. After filling, do I replace this seal, or is it tossed after opening the carto?

You can leave it if you want.
You can replace it with a drip tip if you want (most folks probably do this).

I'd hang onto it, even if you don't use it though... You never know when that little plug will come in handy!! (haha)

I would save it...what I do is keep my cartos on my juice bottles with rubber bands. I put the plug back in and cover both ends with the condom caps that come with them when they are new. Since I have so many different flavors this way I can just rotate a few at a time.

I'll be the black sheep here - I always throw them out. If I swap out a current cartomizer with a new one for different flavors, I simply wash it out and place the rubber cap that comes with the cartomizer.
