Serpent Elevate, Problem with Wicking

Hi there,
Finally, I received Wotofo Serpent Elevate today.
First of all, IMO, flavour is very rda like. To compare it to Intake, I insert same coil in it and test with same liquid, flavour is very very good. (3x28ga Kanthal A1 twisted - ID 3 - 5 Wraps 0.42Ohm)

Now my problem with wicking. In first time I use same amount of cotton that I used for 3mm coils always. After filling tank I drink too much juice, literally I drink juice. after 5 to 6 juicuful puff it gets fine. No issue until the tank gets empty.
I fill it up and same problem.
Then I change wick with so much cotton, but nothing changed. same problem.
Any advice for proper wicking on Serpent Elevate?

Update:
This time I use same amount of cotton (Muji cotton pad) that I used before for every 3mm coils, but didn't combed out the cotton much, and filled cotton hole very compressed, with a long tails (not touching the bottom).
I use max VG liquid, and this time I have no issue at all. No juice drinking and no dry hit.

Been using this same method, basically. 1/4 of the muji pad, remove skins, no fluffing/thinning, tails 1/2 way between bottom of holes & bottom. Have had no problems yet.
