Does the black one come with a black stainless steel drip tip or a delrin one?
I have the black one & to be honest I can't tell but if I had to guess it's delrin. It's the only Serpent drip tip that I actually use, the others, original Serpent & Serpent mini is SS & I don't use those.

Mine finally arrived yesterday as well. I have beien a fan of the serpent since the first rta 's came out. Loved the 22mm mini but the 2ml capacity drove me nuts. This thing is perfect. Airflow is just what I like. Glad to see the juice flow control gone. Much easier without it and I never really found it useful. Have not experienced any leaking issues thus far. Build quality is top notch

Hi.
I got a new one. But I am not happy with flavour. I am a new coil builder. Do there might be something I am doing wrong. I tried 7 spaced wraps with kanthal 24 g. And 5 wraps with clapton 2×28+32. Do please tell me if these setups are wrong and the best setup and best wattage.

Are you using the single or dual deck? You didn't mention the I.d. What are you wicking with? If you can provide pictures of your build I think peeps can help you better. I'm using the single coil deck with the same Claptons as you I think it was 3mm I.d. Wicked with rayon pretty close to the airflow hole & the flavor is phenomenal.

First thank you so much for your reply.
I am using a single coil with clapton (2*28/32) 4 wraps . The coil is almost 0.5 ohm. I uploaded the picture. I used now Japanese cotton that come with the tank previuosly I tried bacon cotton. I got dry hit on high wattage like 40 watt or even on low wattage like 33 watt on long inhale. I don't taste the flavour. This is my first build so o think I make a mistake in wicking the cotton. Previuosly I tried kanthal 24 g 7 spaced wraps as what I heard is that spaced coil is perfect for flavour. And my main concern is flavour Thank you for your help

You're welcome :)
What is your inner diameter (i.d.) of the coil? I can't see it in the picture but did you wrap the coil lefty? Wotofo's single coil deck like wrapping with the wire under then over the rod. Is your coil as close to the airflow hole as possible? Usually dry hits are because your wick is too thick, after you pull the cotton through the coil take something pointy (like tweezers) & pull through to thin out the wick tails, then cut using the base as a guide then tuck in behind the wick ring. Let me know how you make out.

Thank you it is much better now. But I know it can be better because I am not satsfied with flavour yet (it was much better in my ready coil tank) sorry if I am asking alot.
My id is 2.5m, the coil is close to the air flow. And I wrap it lefty using coil master.
My juice is 70vg30pg. The resistance is 0.5 . And I vape on 30_33 watt.
I want you please to give me your feed back for the following:
- shall I increase the ID to 3m and keep clipton 4 wraps as it is to increase the surface.
- why I have dry hits in long inhales.
- what is the sweet spot (what wattage) for this coil. (I know there is no rules for that but I like warm vape not hot and when I increase the wattage more than 33 I got dry hit).

Thank you.

- yes definitely try 3mm id, that's what I have in mine, first time coiling & wicking this tank as it has plenty of room, try 5 wraps slightly spaced. Mine is using the same gauge Claptons as yours with 3mm id 6 wraps .84 ohms vaping at 25 watts.

- dry hits definitely too much wick, try wicking it like I posted above, fluff the wick tails by using pointy tweezers from end of coil & pulling through like you are combing it, it will remove some density from the wick tails.

- like you said they are no hard fast rules but definitely at .50 ohms you shouldn't dry hit on 33 watts or a long draw.
