Same problems as everybody else plus I get an error if I like the last post on a pg then try to go to the next pg too fast,can we teach that baby to jog? pg loading is hit and miss also sometimes it dumps me on the first pg of the thread but not every time.
Gez, I'm glad I don't have to go to that much trouble or I'd be out of here.

JUST AS AN FYI: Especially since "rolygate" asked that they be reported here . . .
Now here is the situation using a Tablet (Xoom) running Chrome and a BRAND NEW COMPUTER running Windows 7 and using Internet Explorer v11 (which is a friends in another state and on another server and with a different internet access point) . . .
1) Both "Go to first New Post" and "View First Unread" are still not working, either will bring you to the first page of the thread or the top of the very last page in the thread . . .
2) In addition and this has not happened before, but in the last couple of days if you try to open a specific thread sometimes instead of opening it up - I am being taken to the very beginning of "EFC": http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/
3) Also after posting anything in a thread - Taken right back to the first page of the thread . . .
Hope this is the information "You" want to know . . .
EDIT:
4) NEW ONE - Just happen four times . . . want to Edit a post - when done and click "save" the page freezes and will not post - try to refresh or reload - nothing and I get a warning message that "ECF" is not responding . . . Have to close page - reopen - edit post again - restore save content - then save again - Then brought back to first page of thread . . .
5) Typing post - automatic save - pauses post - then freezes and either post the post before you are done or post the same post twice one right after the other . . .
6) "504 Gateway Timed Out" - messages too . . .

I was so happ,y when I did a test and go to first unread worked. It worked 4 or 6 times for me on 3 different devices. And then well it quit working hopefully one day it will come back I hate reading backwards it does horrible things to my OCD.

Holy cow! I haven't had any of these problems with chrome or whatever my iPad uses.
Using IPad...tons of issues...Error codes, MAJOR lag, still getting bumped to first post in thread when requoting someone or editing my own post (but it's random, no rhyme or reason) and the refresh button twirls in cyber space for eons....
It seems this upgrade is taking forever to work and still has a bunch of glitches. Hard to stay on here for long before I want throw my IPad across the room

I'm not getting timeout errors (yet...) but man, the site has been a real bear for the last four hours and seems to be getting worse. Page loads are taking forever, return badly formatted garbage, or just don't complete at all. As I'm typing this FF is telling me Transferring data from www.e-cigarette-forum.com... - no, it isn't. Page load never completed.
Done all the reality checks - the problems are specific to the ECF site.

hmmm, i have no problems with load time - xp pro, ff - likes occasionally won't take and refreshing the page has the annoying result of showing my last post again in the reply box. but no more 502s and forever spinning wheels since we're back on apache
It started out great but overnight something went in the crapper. I'm getting timeout errors trying to ping the server. Even when I can ping the server ok I still get incomplete garbage page loads that are taking forever. Don't even think of trying to load two ECF pages at the same time - neither will ever complete. I can bop around any place else but ECF with no problems.
Seriously, giving it up for now. This is more frustration at this point than anything else.
then it must be one of the servers acting up - still running decent for me. try to get on a different server by logging off and back on ...

As always sensible and clear headed . . .
The funny thing is I am using a friends computer for the weekend while I am in NYC . . . So there was no need to clean out "Stuff" when I logged in - although I have this morning, both their computer and "My" Tablet . . . However - Still experiencing the same "Quirks" as I did last night/early morning and posted . . .
AND - CONGRATULATIONS on "Your" 4th Year being "Smoke FREE" . . .

I have even gone so far as to download and try a number of different browsers (as has already been suggested over and over and over again) and on as many varied pieces of hardware and using different operating systems too . . . Yet the problems do persist that is why I am posting this information as it was requested and so that they and administration knows what some people are experiencing (YES - Others too because they are posting this information in other threads/FB and will not post here no matter how much they are asked) . . . Matter of fact, some of these people are supporting members and have left ECF (and are even considering not renewing their membership) - and refuse to come back to "ECF" until it is fixed . . . Just Sayin' . . .

I am spending most of my time in the UK forum, it works with out the need to invent work arounds.
Got to love the ETA given for the repair "Sooner or Later".

I felt the same way as you did until I actually tried it.
The point is there should be no need for a work around, it should simply be one click.
My first thought when they reported the issues persist. Just got back from the myfico forums, getting ready for this years big jump in credit (quitting smoking does EVENTUALLY lead to greater productivity). I remembered your discussion in those scripts, didn't realize you weren't still running apache, was finally gonna suggest you just chron the whole mess (j/k).
Haven't had a chance to ever get back to my long threads, too much work on iPad to get back to view first unread. Here's hoping congrats in order come next week.

Doing okay in this iPad, still running 5 iOS though. Just can't get to first unread without clicking last page. PS, from what they're describing with computer behavior, don't think I'll hop in the android phone nor computer just yet. Haven't tried an edit yet, will after this posts.
That one took me to full page edit, back to top post. This edit opens window in thread, and...
Behaves normally.
