Hi Guys
Can any one recommend a good cleomiser or tank system for me, I hate all devices that have a airy draw, and all the latest ones I have bought have this ie Protank, Evod, Vivi nova, and because of this I keep putting them down and going back to the kanger T2, I know these are not the best but these give me the draw and throat hit I am looking for but they don't last very long so always changing the heads, any recommendations would be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance to any replies

Hello johnyg63,

I believe this Kanger EVOD kit is the best
simple, durable, complete, and a good price...
- EVOD 650 Kit [VE504] - £39.95 : Vape Escape
- Kanger Protank Spare Heads (5) [VE515] - £7.95 : Vape Escape
all you'll need is juice-
and to buy replacement coils (when needed)
----------------------------
If you are having a problem with 'too loose' of a draw -- then fix it how you like...

I stick a tooth pick in the hole(s) on my EVOD (if/when needed)
but another way is buy one of these...

- Airflow Controller [VE554] - £2.99 : Vape Escape

if you like the bcc, then make it work for you with not much effort... :)

Good Luck :)

Hmm. One thing to mention. I bought an airflow controller for the Protank and I don't actually see how it can possibly work.

The draw on nearly BCCs is very airy, I agree.

Have you tried a good old Vision V3 or an iClear16. These are both less airy. The only criticism from me is that I only get a few days from a V3 atomizer head. iClear16s are better in that respect....I tend to get at least a week.

I bought a Totally Wicked RCS dual coil, which is like a Kanger T2 with dual coils. Same sort of draw (nice).....but hellishly expensive on the heads....(Totally Expensive at it again....)

Basically, you can forget Protanks, Davides and Evods.....you'd be throwing away good money on them if you don't like the "air"....

I'd start by trying an iClear16.

I got a vamo and a little trick I did was to cut a piece off of a silicon VAMO WITH TOP CAP RUBBER resize.jpg drip tip cover and put it over the ego threads and just screw your protank down till you get a nice draw on it or get a SMOK DCT CARTO or also a iclear 30 they are nice draw and get loads of flavour to

Evods :) It all depends on where you buy them from believe it or not!

The Genuine branded Evods have three air holes around the base, the clones from Fastech only have two holes and are a tighter draw (as well as being cheaper) and at £4.09p for two inc post it`s a no brainer for me :)

The first thing I do with all of mine is re-coil and wick them using Ekowool anyway, all to the same resistance (1.8) so there is no variation in the atomisers performance and have found the clones/copies to be better than the genuine with the same atomiser fitted.

Personally, I like them and always use them for on the go.

Hi Vault.

I'm also a big fan of the fasttech Evod tanks! (just ordered another 5 for like £6-7)

Also ordered 10 heads 5 x 1.8ohm and 5x 2.2ohm)

I want to start re-wicking them my self but i have no idea what to buy in the way of wicks and wires?!!

Hi just get yourself a couple of different size wire & silca wick there plenty of videos to show you how to do it just a case of finding which wire and wick suits you getting the ohms right is just how many times you wrap the wire round to make a coils most people use 4-5 turns then once you have mastered that its rewick and coil done the only other thing I would get is a ohm meter from fasttec for checking coil heads you build or buy they only about £6 or use vamo plus it helps to use it for holding your coil heads when wicking & coiling one thing I learned what to do is use a cotton bud with the ends removed or a cocktail stick to wrap you wire around to make your coil this ensures you have a nice tight and even coil and makes it easy to put into your coil heads or attys so you don't damage them putting them in

Johny have you tried pluging one of the holes in the Evod or other devices that have air holes around the outside. you can put a small peace of tape or use a toothpick.

Also if the T2 give you the best throat hit then stay with it man. Just because alot of people say this or that tank is the best doesnt mean its the best for you. If you are going through coils faster than you think you should, try rebuilding them. You could give dripping a try too, the nimbus clone(2 holes) from fasttech has a super tight draw, even the one with 4 holes has a super tight draw IMO. the igo-L has a tight draw aswell. If you are scared to try rebuilding its super super easy, watching a couple of youtube videos and you will be one your way. I would get 32g Kanthal wire and 2mm silica, once you get used to building coils and are confident in yourself you can play around with other materials like cotton(my fav) and different gauge wire.

Johnny, is your protank the original version or 2? I hated the original as the draw was way too airy for me, but i found the 2 a big improvement. If you tighten them down a little more than you normally would on your mod then it makes the draw even tighter too.

I preferred the vivi nova over the original protank, although i dont use either anymore - the vivi nova gives a much tighter draw though.
