Setting here vaping for the very first time!

Hi all!
This is so exciting. I've been smoking for 20 years and have wanted to kick the habit for the last ten (since my son was born) but I just enjoy the act so much...sigh. Anyways, my mom got an e-cig and has almost completely given up her former habit in less than 3 weeks. I'd been wanting to try one myself, but it always seemed so expensive to get started. Did I spend the 70 bucks on the carton or the 70 bucks on something that might not even work? A tough call since truthfully, I could afford neither!

Well, after my mom's sucess and well over 12 hours on online research (a lot of it right here, THANK YOU ALL SO VERY MUCH), I ordered my first e-cig starter kit this morning. Of course, I am so impatient that I spent $9.99 on a cheap (looks like a 510 with cartos) one at the gas station also this morning! I just couldn't wait. After just 45 mins on the USB charger, I must say this thing is working way beyond my expectations!

It just feels soooo freekin weird "smoking" at my puter! lol I haven't smoked in-doors in years. I'm not craving nic at all, but I'm going to HAVE to go outside (even though the weather's extremely crappy right now) just to truly feel like I've gotten my fix. Sad, I know.

Anyways, I just couldn't contain my excitment any longer and had to share! I truly think I've finally found the one thing that can help me kick my smoking habit! WoooHooo to vaping!
I really can't wait for the "good" e-cig to show up! I'll keep you posted on my progress and how long this cheap one lasts, etc. 10 bucks to get vaping asap didn't seem too bad, but as I've literally just begun, we'll see.
Thanks again to all the wonderful members here who are willing to share info and videos to help change the lives of people like me! I'm sure my son will want to thank you too when I'm able finally stop spending money to kill myself!

Hello and welcome to ecf......Isn't it wonderful? And we really aren't 'giving' anything up...smoking analogs is such an all encompasing habit on several levels and the ecigs take care of it all.....what we are giving up is the stink of cigs, our place as step-children in society where we are frowned upon, and what we gain,,, is our lives back.....soon you will be able to taste and smell again, have more energy, your skin will improve. I could go on and on, but you get the point.....
So what did you order online and from where...inquiring minds want to know...lol

Haha! Janice, I know exactly what you mean. We are so conditioned to go outside to smoke, if definitely feels weird to vape indoors. I've already decided that I'm not giving up my "smoke breaks" at work I still want the 5-10 minutes away from everyone else lol!

Found this at Bigbox Store out of China. I don't think I'll get any customer service so to speak, but I'm hoping it at least works when I get it. Also, it's a "foot in the door" and I'll be able to get replacement parts from a more reputable dealer here in the US, along with my juice and accessories....

I have no idea what the brand is I picked up at the store, but I'm really impressed with the flavor, etc. so far and it's certainly a China made set up, so keeping my fingers crossed....

They did, but even with the 20% it still wasn't that cheap. Like I said...fingers crossed! lol
If things go wrong, I'll try LF next while buying the replacements for my little cheapo as I wait.

Just trying to find a alternative in the us for you.....LF usually gets their shipments out quick and you have them in under 4 days usually(or less).....with China vendors, it has to go thru customs and that can take a while...

I can't help saving even a few pennies, even if it makes for a wait. The good thing is is that the little 510 for 10 bucks won't go to waste! I think my hubby is going to love it and getting the refill cartos is as easy as buying a pack of smokes!
Oh! I was just checking out that Backwoods juice place...how do they compare to the other big one, Johnson Creek?
Is it really just try it and hope you like it?

BWB is a very good vendor....He makes his ejuice fresh, after you order it, so it may require a little steeping time..(steeping is where you remove both caps from the bottle to allow air to get to it so the flavors marry together quicker)....Just put it up in a cool dark cabinet for a day or two...
If you order...try his applewood.....omg it is heavenly and very smooth....lots of members like the malty also.....I will see if I can find his discount code for you....will return and edit this post with it.

I know exactly how you feel. I have been a pack-a-day smoker for nearly 10 years now and have never smoked indoors. After starting using my e-cig a couple weeks ago I have found it harder to break the rituals of smoking tobacco than the tobacco itself. I still find myself wanting to step outside for a break, but I won't complain too much after this last Chicago winter

'Smoking' at my workstation at work has been a hell of a mind-trip for me as well. I work in a datacenter which is very picky about what they let you bring in certain parts of the building. Vaping at work has been a real treat when things are busy! The guys I work with are mostly smokers too, and they always knew me as the one who would typically initiate smoke breaks. Using my PV has been a blessing in that I no longer need to plan out my nicotine around work loads.

And Vanilla mixed with a nice tobacco...yum.
I think those will be my first 3 flavors. Play it safe. I might be fruity on occassion, but I doubt that means I like smok.....errrrr I mean VAPING it!
