It took me almost 6 months to pull the trigger and get a more expensive set up than a twist and lavatube with pro tanks set up. I'm so glad that my first investment was with Rob though. I haven't felt the need to look for other mods. Now it's just a rba hobby lol... However for some reason every time I see a GG I just want to buy one. For some reason they still catch my eye.

i feel ya, i love the reo... but there is a small part of me that wants to snag a hcigar nemmy clone from adk... or something... to have something different... cant justify spending on it until i have all the reos i want... but it is a want...

idk just kind of want one thing that is different... its strange and i dont understand why that want is there but it is...

maybe so i can say that the reo blows all other mechanicals away... idk... its strange...

Where I live, a reo is paid for by not smoking in about 3 weeks (at a PAD)

... or by skipping 3 nights at the pub (for most of my friends)

... or by selling 1 provari and 1 kayfun (which I did)

In my work, we're in the process of transitioning some of our products from packaged goods (upfront cost to the customer) to 'freemium' (free to obtain, cost for usage). The average cost of the packaged good: $60. The average cost paid for freemium: $110 (over a year).

Thankfully (for our business), math isn't people's strong suit.

I talk to a few people at work about vaping. I've handed out my little 510 batteries that I quit smoking with. All those people are still smoking but continue to ask questions. So I answer them. If they really decide they want to quit I'll be happy to help them on that journey.
On the other topic mentioned in this thread, no I have no interest in any other vaping gear. May will be the 3 year mark with my single Grand. It still works and I feel no need to buy another.......anything. Maybe a few cool drip tips.

it baffles me how they just don't get it, or don't even think about the math..

sure, the start up costs a bit *up front* but it's NOTHING compared to how much they're spending on smokes.

edit to say: I have this conversation over a $65 510 kit! with smokers and people who buy gas station disposables..
Their "justification" is "Yeah.....but spaced out, over time.....you don't really MISS it that much...!"
It's STILL $$ SPENT!! AND.....after the stinkies are smoked.....you've got ZILCH!!
A Reo is an INVESTMENT!!! Once you HAVE it....you've GOT it.....something tangible to show for your efforts to quit TOBACCO!:D
Of course....SOME folks NEVER seem to "get it".....!!!:(

I think perhaps they can't separate themselves from smoking. They think they won't quit and that they'll be out over $200. They have doubts. Their heads are still with cigarettes. They haven't made that break.

I think that this is right on the money. I agree 100%

I would like to point out that while i am interested in a mech other than a reo... its not to replace or be better, it is to have a mechanical other than the reo, it is to allow straight dripping, it is to allow larger rdas for different builds. The REO is always going to be number 1 to me but I want to experiment with other set ups and other options
