I was vaping with the go-go fury vv battery from cig-easy with the m1 tanks and kanger t3 coil heads with 32G ni-chrome/kanthal wire and cotton using the riptripper nano-coil method. I had found vaping perfection. I was set for life...until cig-easy stopped carrying the go-go fury batteries. Out of the four batteries I used, two died and the remaining two are slowly on their way out. So I went out and bought a new setup. A Kanger protank 2 to fit my kanger t3 coils heads, and an itaste svd. Now my kanger t3 nano-micro coils aren't even able to carry the voltage the itaste provides and keeps shorting out. I've tried several different coil heads and I make a lot of them so I couldn't have had this many have shorts in them considering that I've never had one short out before with the method mentioned above. I switched to 28G kanthal wire for my coil builds and the device can't even fire some of them because they were less than 1 ohm. With that said I am willing to try and use 30G Kanthal wire to build proper coils for this device but I brought my problems to all of you nice, wonderful, and knowledgeable people to find out if there is anything else (like another coil method) I can do without exchanging this setup for something else. You're also all pretty, did I mention that? Before someone asks I am using 12mg juice from vaporescence, a b&m that's relatively nearby and it has always hit well. Any help with this is appreciated and hopefully I can get this figured out with the help of all you nice people before my two remaining go-go fury batteries die on me and my vaping existence goes to crap. Thanks in advance.

If you insist in using sub ohm coils, you best of with a mech mod of some sort.
Hardly any apv (or any other power regulated battery) fires sub ohm coils since the is simply no reason to go sub ohm on an apv.
You can simply push more watts by pressing a button on an apv, you don't need low resistance for that like with a mech mod.

I am not insisting on using sub ohm coils, that's the problem. I am insisting on not buying anymore equipment right now so I have to figure out a way to make this setup work nicely. If I use 30G kanthal to wrap my coils will that solve my problem? Should I go back to an original coil design with the 32G kanthal or 28G kanthal I have or is there another coil design out there I can try that will not be sub ohm and will fire nicely on this setup. Thanks for the suggestions but I just blew through my vaping budget last month and cannot afford to buy new equipment. Maybe later on though. Thanks for the help.

Haha OK OK ... I hear you ...my vape budget is not unlimited either.
To start, stick with the 32gauge kanthal. (Had to look that up.. I do mm)
Regular coil, 5-6 turns brings you right in the normal resistance values.
If you do a tight micro coil maybe make it 6-7.

The other gauges will drastically lower your resistance. Hence you need to use more turns and would be ending up with a fairly wide/large coil.

Just use your ohm meter (svd got one no?) to measure the end result.
The 32, 5-6 turns around a few strands of silica should bring you anywhere between 1.6-2 ohm provided you no cause any shorts.
