Well @Ken Kaneki, it may well be worth looking at using TC mode if possible. As it's the best way to tailor the vape to your needs.

I always surprise folks when they try one of my DTL setups with TC, they expect the worst but end up liking it. Unless they are an MTL style vaper and then they start coughing.
I am a MTL vaper :D:D:D

If I can make one suggestion, and it helps check off backup of backups on your prep list, add in one drop in coil tank. If you have issues with getting used to building it's a great backstop, and there may well be times like traveling where bringing along a small build kit (cotton, some tweezers and a scissor is all you really need, but it's one more thing to worry about) isn't that attractive and having one or two small spare coils in a blister package is easier, then a Zenith/Zlide is an excellent mtl choice. The coils are top notch, especially their newer Plexus ones (personal preference but to me better than their plain wire ones),and the tank is impossible to mess up. Even the glass is nicely protected against drops and it's an easy to fill top. Will work fine on any mod you choose.

Advanced Vape Supply has some SS316L Clapton wire that sounds almost perfect for MTL (28AWG wrapped with 36AWG).

And Vaporesso have the VM Tank and Guardian Tank presently available for MTL, Drizzle Tank is a little older but another MTL option as well and the coils are cheap.

Only mention Vaporesso tanks as they do have Stainless Steel coil options available.

And there's nothing wrong with that @Ken Kaneki, and with an MTL atomiser you can still use TC.

Stainless Steel is a good choice of wire then, as you can use it in Power/Wattage or TC modes without any issues.

Remind me in what mod you've settled upon?

I've not settled on a mod yet but I'm looking at the OBS Cube X, it does not have TC but it has a removable 18650 battery which is better than the original cube. my criteria for a mod is that it is compact and performs well for MTL. I'm also considering the Vapor Storm Puma but its a bit big (dual 18650) which I don't like and the Drag mini but it has a built in battery.

Well, here I can ask the guy at the vape store to build for me, its close to my house. but yes I will need to get cotton and scissors as the bare minimum, I also have friends who use RDAs who can help me out with learning how to build.

Spooled Clapton Wire 316L SS (26g/30g or 28g/36g)

I've used that AVS wire in the past and found it an excellent product. It is SS so you do have to calculate that in when you build. You'll be needing a few more wraps over Kanthal.

Titanium is a pain with TC, it performs really well but trying to get a high resistance with it is nigh on impossible.

And just asking here @Ken Kaneki, but how hard may you be on a mod?

Since I currently use Aspire Spryte AIO, I want something better. but I tried my friend's mod and mtl dripper (I think it was the ammit) and the max I could go is arround 18-20 watts
