Why am I going through so many joye LR 306's on my mini with AW imr 14500's? I'm not sure if they are 1.5 or 2 ohm. I do hear a bit of gurgling so I might be flooding them a bit. I clean them by soaking in ever-clear every other day. And I do hit on them hard. Maybe 2 or three pulls at a time. One drag just isn't enough. Iv been using a assortment of trail size VG juices from AV, Mrs T's and T.V.

Or maybe a better question would be which atty would last longer? Should I try carto's? Should I de-wick them before using?

Thanks

My first LR306 lasted about the same 12 hours. The next lasted maybe an hour. I think both were cases of user error.
I remembered right before the last one quit this scenario. I had taken two or three hits, the last one was a burning taste. So I immediatly squonked some juice into the atty. I did not blind squonk and draw at the same time. When I tried to vape I got nothing. The atty didn't even get hot.
I think the juice hit the coil when it was very hot and blew it.
I will never know, but have tried not to repeat that when I get that burned taste. I wait a few seconds before squonking. Most of my cheap attys have lasted at least a couple of weeks. I keep them wet, but not too the point of flooding.
Maybe this will help.

I find the 306 doesn't last as long as other atties, but it's worth it to me for the TH. I try not to dewick unless I have to, and usually end up having to - mostly due to clogging or burnt wick. Generally they last me 2-4 weeks.

I never ever rinse or soak them in anything, just blow them out when I feel the need, about every day or 2. I consider them semi disposable, but if you really need them to last, think about a steam cleaner.

I have been using the 306 attys for a long time some for over 18 weeks at a time. the trick to the 306 is keep them wet.
Two drags and then wet again. With proper technique a 306 should last just as long as any other atty out there.

I have used many brands Cisco is the one I use most, Joye. Boge, even Bauway I can get just as long of life from all of them.

Popping a few may be manufacture defect but any more then that I would have to say it is user error.

Technique some times can take a while to master. Every ones technique is different. I vaper my attys almost at the dry point, My wife Vapes hers as almost a flooded state.

What you wont out if your vape will also dictate your technique.

I like a dry warm TH But I am also using a strong Tobacco flavor (Havana Gold) The wife wont's less TH and more flavor.

Play with your technique a bit to see if you can get more from your attys.

Hope this helped in some way.

Its possible one could last 10 months. I've used many 306s...some are better than others, but I've never killed one. Had one Cisco that never worked right and I think I just tossed it. I wore them out. I know I don't have the golden touch, so my guess is possibly technique as well. When I flood them, they suck...no vapor, tough draw. But when they are just under flooded, then they are golden for me. Perhaps counting your drags before you apply more juice might be helpful until you find a count that works for you. For me, I usually go 5-6 drags before gently pressing on the bottle and giving a sharp, quick "kiss" or drag on the drip tip without firing the atty. That brings just a spritz of juice up to the coil...just right....for me anyway. After I figured out how many drags I need...it became second nature to me. Hope this helps.:)

are you popping them and they just dont work anymore? jus curious the specific reason why you move on to a new atty

how are you cleaning them? if youre doing some sort of alcohol rinse or any other method, i really think every other day is wayyy too much. i personally dont clean my atties (everyone has different beliefs on this, i still have experimenting to do) but once a week on heavy use is usually the minimum. alot of people usually dont clean them until theres actually something wrong with it.

i find blowing all the juice out real good before i sleep and then repriming in the morning works real well for me.

I've never "popped" an atty...they just get to a point where I can't revive the flavor and draw that I loved about that atty. I have 306s (in rotation) on all but one of my mods and have been running them this way for about 2 or 3 months now. Before that I was using 510s....and they lasted me 6 months also before I retired them to the "baggy" in my tackle box. I use the boil and dry cleaning method on all my atties. I'm waiting for the Steam Shark to arrive to test it out on my old atties first to see if I can get back that flavor/draw. And just to be clear...I'm super lazy. I hate dealing with cleaning these things, so I'd use them for up to 2 months before rotating them out for a freshly cleaned atty.
Weird..huh?

In general dark liquids kill atty quicker.
I always dedicate a few atty/cartos to clean burning liquids.
Pic shows how much better a coil looks w/ clean burning liq vs dark liquids.

No not really. Im not lazy.. I just have many other better things to do than screw around with these things. Im to the point where I'm ready to quit, now that Im down to low nic juice.

Which juices are clear? Im using boba's bounty and I think that may be my problem. Then again I had issues with earl gray. I just cant win seems like.

I bought a 306 atty, and rally liked it but it died on my 2nd day of use. Was hitting fine and then noticed it felt like it was getting dry...added some juice and then got nothing....not sure it was worth the $6.

Did you blow out the atty after you got nothing? Often times, when a 306 is flooded...it will seem like its dead, but might not be. ...this is a fickle atomizer to be sure.

When I first started using the Cisco 306's, I figured I was going through one a week. Since that was still so much cheaper than cigs, I just shrugged and decided, OK I need to have 4 a month on hand.

My recent ones are holding up MUCH better. In fact, I haven't burnt or gunked one up in over a month (knock on Woodvil). I don't know if my technique has improved or the attys are from really good batches, but I'm enjoying it.

Perhaps my experience is rare....but I haven't found that one color of juice performs better or worse than another with my setup. :)

Oooooooooo do you know what you started doing differently??

I've just been following this cisco 306 guide: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/vaporflow/128108-cisco-lr-306-user-guide.html

But in general that just says "do nothing to this atty, and keep it wet!"

Would love to hear your day to day use tips!

LOL, I have no idea, I'm just keeping it wet. I have had no dry hits, and I'm not flooding them anymore. I think the most noticeable thing that I have been doing is taking a sharp unpowered hit before I take a powered hit. It pulls the existing juice (it is NOT accompanied by squonking) up into the atty and I can feel if there is juice ready for the hit, or if I need to squonk.
