Hello Everyone!
My name is Tiffany and I have been smoking since I was 13. Now 28 and having a 2 year old i am greatly influencing I am looking to quit for GOOD! My little brother bought me a starter kit.. no idea what its called... all i know is the tank says "eleaf". I thought that I had all i needed (besides some yummy juice) but after reading this forum i want to upgrade Immediately!! I want a strong hit and a lot of vapor... but i dont want to spend a fortune on things i dont know what to do with... So im reading, and learning, and trying to see where to go from here... Any help would be greatly appreciated. As i think it will take me 10 years to read thru all of this!
BTW... havent smoked since X-mas!!!

Congrats on not smoking Tiffany! I have an ego twist battery, an MVP 2 battery and some pyrex protanks for my liquids. Those are very easy to use & produce great flavor & vapor. The MVP gives me 2-3 days before recharging, about 1.5 on the ego. I started with 24 mg, quickly dropped to 18mg. It can be easy to over-nic at 24, for me. I stay between 12 & 16 now.

Welcome Tiffany! And congrats for taking the first step and not smoking! High five to your brother too. :)
I'm not familiar with Eleaf, what I could find it just looks like a bottom coil clearomizer. A variable voltage eGo type battery, one that you can adjust with the bottom knob may be a good place to start- most starter kits do not have variable voltage batteries. I use my VV batteries everyday still with bottom coil clearomizers.
You can order these online or go to a shop. Some have testing bars for their flavors so you can get something yummy you'll know you like instead of taking a chance on the reviews from internet shopping. I've come across some great ones through the webs but also some real dogs.
Here's a link so you can find some shops by you. Electric Cigarette|Eliquid|Supplies|Electronic Cigarette|Ejuice|Smokeless|Vapor Search USA
I don't know how close you are to Cumberland but MaddCatt Vapors has some tasty liquids. Good luck!

Thank you so much. I believe you are correct, i do have a bottom coil clearomizer. And thank you so much for the link! Really helpful. Im pretty far from cumberland but using your link i just found one about 5 mins from me. I was actually looking at VV batteries online already. Is there any particular brand anyone could recommend? Oh, and i believe the eleafs are also known as ismoka?

Im sorry, but what is an MVP?? i have been seeing it everywhere and cant figure out for the life of me what it is

You can check them out here: Innokin iTaste MVP V2.0 - 101 Vape They are a box-shaped battery that has variable voltage and variable wattage (so you can control the flavor and hit a bit better). They're great for beginners because of the price, and they're pretty sturdy. A charge can last 1-3 days, and you can actually plug your cell phone/ipod into it to charge them. I have one and I'm quite happy with it.

The EGo's are Joyetech I think and are called a Twist. I forget who makes the Spinner, but it's the same principal, it has variable voltage. Smok has one too. They come in different mAh, 1300, 1000, 800, 650, etc. The unscientific and probably improper way to explain it is those numbers have to do with the size of the battery and also the battery life before it needs to be recharged. So depending on your vaping habits a 1300 might last all day but the smaller one might last a few hours. I think you'll be happier with a VV. I was.
Also prices at B&M's are usually a bit higher. I'll pay a bit more to support them and realize they have overhead but not double or triple.

Hi Tiffany,
Good on you for giving up the cigs, that's why we're all here when all is said and done.

For your gear set up, as Huckleberried said, there is nothing wrong with a twist style battery as a great starting point. I have two in my arsenal and they go for a day or two (depending on your usage of course) and they work great. I've also got the MVP 2 which is great for recharge time but they can be a bit problematic transporting them. You really need pulling down to travel with when shoved in a bag or etc.

As for tanks, cartomizers, clearomizers...... As you've probably read in these forums, that's purely a subjective or personal choice. They all have their own strengths and weaknesses. It just depends on what suits you and what you're willing to put up with or what is easiest to maintain and operate.

The juice you want to use plays a big part as some juices destroy plastic and you'll need to use glass/pyrex for those. But which one to use, that's a whole new vigorous discussion....lol. IMHO, a plastic or glass Dual Coil Tank on a spinner battery of around 1100 to 1300 Mah is a fairly good starting point.

Once you use the gear and get a better idea of what's out there, you can upgrade from there.

Cheers,
Ned.

Ha! thats actually what my little brother has! I just found some really pretty neat designed ones...(i kno, im a girl) thanks for the tip! Think i am making an order!

I've seen the designed ones as well. They're pretty neat but I didn't discover them until about 2 weeks after mine had arrived. You can also get nifty wraps (google Jwraps) if you're into that.

Thank u so much for your help everyone... i have decided to get both...

You are now broken in right, lol. It catches quick. I went through a time of crazy spending on liquids. That slowed down, but now I'm going crazy over different types of pv set ups.

yea i went a little crazy with liquids... most of them fortunately my brother bought me. I recently ordered a few from Vapealicious including the gooey butter cake... and from another company (whose name i cant remember) but someone on here recommended their Cake Batter... i believe it was organic as well.. not sure if that makes a difference
