GEP I must've missed the Gay Social Group. I wouldn't call myself Gay anyways. :p

And NicFix... I'm a bit odd too. I like odd people...they make life more interesting. :D

Mostly I just freaked out because I happened upon a thread in the Women's Room and wanted to encourage someone who was stressed out and realized, with horror, that I could not do so. I felt left out :( It's okay, though, I'll get over it!

Oh, and GEP -- I live in Albertville. I'm about an hour from Huntsville and 1.5 hours from Birmingham (kinda in the middle). Small world, never thought I'd find someone else from AL 'round these parts.

enrogae, I am sorry that you feel left out! We did try to have a thread for guys to post in, but that didn't work. Anyway if you want to post a note in a thread for encouragement, we don't mind. But for the rest of the threads, we try to keep it ladies only.
Why? because we needed a place to be off topic and free to discuss things that make guys cringe..
We know it's only an illusion of privacy, because everyone can view it! But at least no one can complain it bothers them because it's not in the main forum..you have to truck on down three flights of stairs and click on us on purpose!
By the way, thanks for noticing us and wanting to provide encouragement, it is greatly appeciated. The people on this board are wonderful!:)

Anytime MaryKay! There is very very very little that makes me cringe. Like I said earlier I have lots of female friends and I get to hear about all sorts of craziness. Doesn't bother me one bit and I've actually become accustomed to it.

I wouldn't want to impose, though. I know that sometimes a man is still just an evil man even if he is a little more sensitive than the rest! :D I'm not really upset, I'm just having fun with you gals. I also understand why a "men's room" wouldn't work... too dirty like GEP said.

Men usually don't want a place to hang without the possibility of women showing up. If it does happen, we tend to knock it by calling it a sausage fest or something along those lines. Don't know why though...sometimes we just need a night out with the guys to have a beer and make all of the crude comments that we've saved up. It makes us bearable once the womenfolk come back around.

enrogae, I know you weren't mad..you didn't rant!:D We haven't figured out how to get the women to join! The secret habdshake and the passkeys don't work, if you can follow the breadcrumbs before they are eaten..drop by.

LifeLongJoyRide, Now, I understand why men behave so badly when they are out together! I just thought they were weird..they are doing it for us Ladies! Gee, Thanks!

Sadly, as much as I have enjoyed conversing with some of you (especially the open-minded ladies) I feel my time on this forum will end up being rather short. I feel like more of an outsider here than I would if I walked into a biker bar and announced that I was a transvestite. I can't even make a post asking for help with an issue I'm having without it being deleted without any notice whatsoever.

I loved it here at first..but..well. Sorry ladies...

Personally i think its a good thing that each group has their own place to be and i don't like to cringe i do it enough anytime i enter a hospital lol... And you shouldn't feel like an outsider reguardless of gender or sexual orientation or anything else that makes us all different.... This is 1 place i don't feel out of place :D

Thanks for the kind words Brian. It's not the gender or sexual orientation that is making me feel like an outsider. It's the fact that I'm new around here and I'm getting a strong feeling that new people aren't much liked here.

Enrogae, don't leave. I'm not going to make excuses for the rest of the forum, but we need people on here who can wade through the BS and deliver thoughtful, well-constructed posts.

Yes, the ECF has gotten bigger. Yes, there are some on the forum who are deeply paranoid and distrustful, and take every opportunity to thrust a knife where it will hurt the most. Sadly, that is the nature of any public forum, but don't let it get you down.

Mostly, there are good people who are here, addicts all, dealing with daily ups and downs regarding the devise which we all have found, to our delight, to replace traditional tobacco or the bulk of our habit, and horrified to learn that the political landscape seems intent on "saving us from ourselves," by forcing us into the only box they can see for us - quit or die trying.

Stay. Contribute. Blow off those who would cause you hurt because they, themselves are hurting and don't know how to release that other than to attack. Be better than them.

New people are always welcome in here from what I've seen. I've only been here for a few weeks myself. Just stick around...eventually you won't be new, right? There's just so much info in here to be read and such good feedback about suppliers that if you vape, you have to hang around here to know where to get the supplies and who not to deal with.

As far as gender/sexual orientation...who cares! Just sit back, and enjoy the ride.

I would certainly do that, if my posts asking for help (as a new user of e-cigs) weren't summarily deleted without any reasoning why. I asked an honest question about something I have no experience with -- and my post vanished. I then tried asking a mod for help -- and that post vanished as well. I can't win for losing. It makes one feel very unwelcome.

I like a lot of the people here. I really do. I have enjoyed conversations with several here, already. I am forever grateful, especially, to people like Spikey who go through the trouble to make an hour long video to introduce me to all of the aspects of vaping. But the immature actions of the few are making my ability to interact with those respectful many a near impossibility for me.

I really am not trying to whine and I apologize if it comes across that way. I also didn't mean it as any sort of threat (which would be rather ridiculous and immature). I just like a lot of you and didn't want to just vanish, if I do leave, and leave those who have started getting to know me wondering where the heck I went. :)

Are you seriously going to post this complaint in every thread?
