Is the game "pg-13" or under? son1 just bought his first computer so he can play his games. He's 16 and we've kept him firmly under a rock.

I played WOW when it came out...had to quit, that game is crack; more addictive than the tobacco I formerly used. I still miss my rouge.......

Ooh! I roleplay... good ol' classic dice-rollin' D&D usually, never done a MUD before but I know how they work in theory... So do I need to download some kinda client? *goes to read the wiki*

wow sallana, it sounds interesting, but I'm with mom on this I had a hard time getting around this forum... if you could PM me how to do it (and pretend I'm 6 years old) then maybe.... but your first post had me all confused, I've never heard of MUD games, but I'm with Blue I've played dice rolling games like D&D and I played WOW before it linked to other people.... yeah I'm barely cut out for this techy world....
there are plenty of them, and they all have different bells and whistles but if u wanted to do everything manually, there's always telnet
yes, just like i told bahnzo you could go as basic as telnet to connect but other, more advanced clients allow for different options including scripting aliases, timers, etc. takes some trial and error b4 u find the client that's right for u.
sallana's more current on what's what AND it's her server so i'll let her walk u through getting started but i can tell u i like what i've seen of it

Nope. It's very much NOT PG 13. We don't tell our players what they can and cannot talk about openly, and there is no language filter.
GMUD Is the quickest install for PC mud clients. Zmud is the best. Cmud, as someone mentioned before.. sucks and you have to pay for it so dont listen to them
Medieval fantasy. We wanted it set in the medieval times but there's nothing out of the ordinary. No "Elven cities" or anything like that. It's sort of like True Blood.. Where vampires just become a part of normal society. In exodus Elves and Dwarves (and more) are just living among humans.
I'll send you some detailed instructions later.. If you can play WoW you can play Exodus.
I was a D&D player big time back in high school. Still have the original hardcovers stored away.
Sounds cool! Count me in. I've been jonesing for some RP and my real-life friends are all to busy to play.
What do I need to do to prep? Is there some where I can get some background on the world?
