I have two Shimmers now :D and love them, but out of interest how many batteries are other users going through a day?

OK, for me its my main device and hardly leaves my side, but I am doing 2 batteries a day! I dug around the forum till I found the batteries references from Dealextreme, are they any better? or just cheaper?

I have 4 standard batteries now, which will become 6 when I get another e-cigar in the new year... and once I have enough spares I may have the guts to try the 80c mod on tips n tricks (BTW the inner core of doggy poo bag rolls is exactly the same diameter as the batteries, meaning wire can go up the core instead of down the edge.)

Also cartridges, are any of you cleaning out your old ones? and if so how? - you can't just remove the material, cos its stuck in with what looks like some kind of PVA? If you do, and don't glue it back in the material will come out and catch on the atomiser.

For now I am using some disposable pipettes I had lying around to squirt with hot water and occaisionally a drop of distillers vodka (cheap and pure), then drying upturned over bits of kitchen towel in old film cartridges.

I did search the forum quite a bit, but most stuff is on minis or super minis, I guess there are not so many egar users.

I have a Ruyan and I find the batteries don't last that long. At least, they don't last that long before the performance decreases considerably. I'm not sure if they have the same sort of LED flash warnings that the e-cigs have to tell you that you need to charge them, I normally swap as soon as I feel that they are declining. I would imagine if you are using it all day, 2 batteries at least would be needed. With my level of smoking, I think more like 3-4 (I've got through 6 DSE901 batteries today, I'm starting to scare myself with the amount I'm using, but I've given up tobacco completely now..).

I've ripped out the material from a cigar cartridge and re-packed it but it does stick to the atomiser now. What I think I will try next, if I need to wash one, is just soak the whole thing in a bowl of warm water and dry it out. That will get most of the old liquid out, I would think.
