My cats are relatively cheap. 50ish for yearly shots, 50ish every six months for Seresto collars and Urinary Tract health food and the laxative for furballs. I buy litter by the boatload at the PetSmart Thanksgiving day sale. Usually about 10 pails of it or as much as will fit in my SUV. So total I guess per cat is a little over $200 a year.
My dog on the otherhand...almost $800 a year for that little pill that helps her not itch. $65 every 8 weeks for bath and cut. Good food and I guess she costs me about $1,500 a year. I buy her food in bulk at the Tractor Supply about twice a year.

Em's yearly checkup/boosters are 63.00. Her liver infection and subsequent kidney infections maybe cost 400.00 over 2 years. Guess costs are dependent on where you live.

My dogs are in a program that includes all their shots, 6 month well checks, monthly nail trim, and no-charge for emergency visits ( treatment/tests are extra) for $180 each.

I think that’s pretty reasonable. It was under $400 for Georgia’s spay. Of course we’ve had some $1k and up emergencies, and Rudy’s pills are over $50 a month.

Ricky if you can’t find a less costly way to get Fluffy fixed, he’ll be fine living separately, or perhaps you could find him another home. You’ll figure this out.

Good morning Chatter's
I seldom let the cats out once the cold sets in. So afraid I'll forget their out.
Same here. i could make up a reversible sign, I guess. "The cat is in; The cat is out.", but I probably wouldn't remember if the sign were current, or not.

I set an alarm usually. The older cats pretty much keep to themselves so I don't miss them when out. The kitten winter did them in last year, not sure they'll ever forgive me.

You guys are all lucky. Try dealing with the finances of an evil genius! A nuclear reactor for Zelda’s dooms day machine alone set me back a few $100K – found a deal in North Korea. But despite that, the cost of destroyed TP and the surprise Uber Eats deliveries of BBQ chicken, she is worth every penny!!! Luv her to bits.

i gotta brag here. my kits protect my crops. i got 750 figs n 24 bunches of grapes with no losses.
on the fig forum, people report losses of over 90% sometimes.
same with grapes.
figs taste like candy, so vermin come back night after night til they are gone.
total value of crops saved is higher than cost of cat upkeep.

your cats must be quieter than mine.
if they want in they scratch on the aluminum storm door which is very loud.
no chance that they will stay out in the cold longer than they want to.

Gosh... quick math shows I spend about $275 a month on my dogs, and I didn’t add in toys and winter coats. So closer to $300/month.

The bird costs me about $30 in food a year, plus a couple of Sunday papers and toys. And s couple bucks for electricity for his tv. He does love some Gunsmoke and Bonanza.

The one time Jesse got sick he cost about $100. He was a year old, and we found him on the bottom of the cage, rushed him to the avian vet. He had some sort of infection.

At the pharmacy, they asked what flavor of medication he’d like. My daughter picked tutti-frutti lol. They had more choices for birds than kids!

Aw thanks you guys I can’t believe the generosity from all you wonderful people I’ve never even met before. I phoned the other place and they were 400 bucks minimum so it’s even more expensive. I’m in Victoria too not on the mainland of Vancouver.

I’ve never seen anything like this love from you all it really warms my heart. I just want fluffy to be able to be calmed down and have fun with the other bunnies not be separated.

I’m Not sure how to accept money for something like this. I’ve enebe made a pay pal account before but sloth mention using it. Is that the best option?

I really don’t feel worthy of such love and generosity I am taken aback.

I would contribute to a bunny-neutering fund, @Ricky Vapes.

Count me in!

I would too!

Ricky Vapes, I would help too.

We might have to do this through PM's Ricky. We aren't allowed to post emails and such on the open forums.

PayPal would work, @Ricky Vapes. You could just PM us your email once you set up the account.

By the way, isn't there another male who needs fixing, too? Or is Sassy's friend another lady?
Yes there is another male. He doesn’t seem to hump
Sassy though they just snuggle and act like they are in love.

Trust me - they hump! We had a pair and thought they were both boys. We were wrong. We found out when Basil gave birth to 12 baby bunnies. We never once saw Aioli having sex with her. So yeah. They do. They're bunnies after all!

Yeah, I doubt if Sassy and her beau are enjoying a platonic relationship.
Ha yea Mabye it’s wishful thinking. .... with fluffy when he goes after sassy she will scream in fear and he just won’t quit trying to get it in. He corners her then she lets out the worst sound ever like a child in fear. I think she’s saying she’s taken and her love is bugs. All bugs can do is hide because fluffy is almost twice his size.

Someone introduced bunnies into Australia. It was NOT good. I think they wound up solving the problem by introducing some super bunny virus that was ALSO in some other way not kind to the Australian ecosystem.

You will get locked up faster than the bee's knee's (IDK) if you attempt to (even inadvertently) introduce any flora and fauna into Australia,. They are super serious about it and I get why. That is an island that was COMPLETELY isolated from outside forces until quite recently. They've had quite a few natural disasters.

No cats... I'm never setting foot there ever. Had several offers over the years.
