Aw Just keep them away from my bunnies!

My neighbors cat comes by once in a while and Toby usually scares it off by barking or I give it a look to say your not welcome over here! It likes killing rabbits so I’m not taking any chances.

I always say Toby can you come and babysit Fluffy while he’s on the lawn

Cute. Do they follow each other or once beyond the parameters they go their separate ways?

Zelda is not an outdoors cat. She will venture out about 5 feet from the door, freeze then scream “Sh*t, the feds!!” and run back in and hide.
that is kinda what Joe does. He will go out the door and go about 3 feet and then look pretty nervous. Julie goes out and he tries to pretend he is as brave as her and follows her until she goes up the fence and then he sits there looking sheepish because he can no longer scale a fence. IN Burbank I built him a leap up so he could follow her but he did not go far.

Good morning peeps and pets.

Miserable day here in Toronto, cold and rainy. Even Zelda does not want to get out of bed. She’s buried herself under my comforter. Will be a good day to make some e-juice. Zelda loves to watch, critique, joke around by placing her paw on the scale, and of course, knocking bottles on the floor.
My cat, Angel, climbs under my comforter every day after breakfast. And also likes to <help> when I'm building or making juice. She will lay across my shoulders and watch, purring loudly.

She's gotten into the habit of screaming in my ear when I am about to make a mistake with flavors.

Angel is also my morning alarm clock ... she gently paws at my head. Silly me, I thought that was just to wake me up but I know it's "hey dumb-azz wake up and feed us, NOW".

I've got another water-loving cat - Luna. I haven't tried giving her a bath yet, but she loves sitting in the sink.

She's also getting very chunky. She's a huge cat anyway for 11months old - but definitely chunky on top of that. I've been feeding her kitten kibble - moving her onto to normal cat kibble, next bag ;)

Wow! I can't believe all these cats that like water. Mine hate it. We use a spray bottle to discipline them. Often just picking up the bottle is enough to make them stop what they're doing. I had to give my older Siamese Neelix a bath when he was about a year old. It did NOT go well. Everything and everyone was drenched and I was bleeding from multiple scratches and bites. I swore never again!

My experience is that cats don't mind being wet. They just don't like getting wet. Also, in my experience, I should know better than to generalize about cats.

I have bathed a ton of kittens because there is no flea preventative you can put on them when they are real little. If they were found outside or in a not very clean home and had tons of fleas..well, that is all you can do. Then just make sure you keep them very warm.
I have bathed 1-2 full grown cats and if I never had to do it again in my lifetime I would be good.
I think if I bathed either one of the ones I have now they would leave home and not come back. They are very clean though as they are fastidious about doing it on their own

So this was my weekend project, stuffies for some of the kids in the family. I’ve made a few giraffes and they turn out nicely I think. Not sure about the bears though. Not my favorite really. I’m trying to decide if I should make more, or do something else - I need 3 more.

I owned a cat back when cats were cats. He never wanted to be bathed, groomed himself, never coughed up fur balls in my presence, anyway. He went in and out as he pleased, and hunted at night.

Well there are tradeoffs, he was squashed by a car and paralyzed and sadly did not ide right away and someone brought him to the vet. He lay there for five days (he would only eat when I came, he would lick the food off my fingers) and the vet was like, "Um how about 1500 bucks for EXPLORATORY surgery."

And my parents were like, "Anna prepare yourself for another cat."

I did eventually get one, he was this really cute back and white creature but just as Dumb as a Brick.

Also did not bathe, also went outside as he pleased but too dumb to hunt.

Ended up with a half inch of ice all over everything. I spent 7 hours treating the roads and walkways in the pouring freezing rain yesterday. So much for having a day off, eh?

Now it has turned to snow thankfully. Ice storms are awful :(

Now for a day full of FD meetings. Good times :D Have a great day fellow chatters and pet lovers! (Speaking of, poor Atti couldn't walk outside yesterday, he just slid everywhere. And I can't walk today - sanding roads by shovel is tough for an office job sloth)

Ugh. Ice is the worst! Snowing here. Not terribly heavy, but could go on all day.

    Good morning peeps and pets!

Princess Zelda let me sleep in this morning, which was a nice change. Woke up to her curled up beside my head and was greeted with a good morning chirp. After breakfast she crawled up onto my shoulder and proceeded with the purring, drooling headbutts. She knows what I have in store for her today.

Took a stroll to the grocery store (the joys of living downtown – everything is a 5 min walk away), picked up some grub including some chicken thighs for queen terror. Was greeted at the door by a much-excited kitty. She always knows when I come home with bacon and or chicken! So tonight Zelda will be ending 2019 with a nice chicken dinner. She is currently sleeping by me feet, twitching and dreaming of roasted chicken.
