No cats... I'm never setting foot there ever. Had several offers over the years.
Hey @Susaz! Are you referring to Australia here? If so, trust me, we LOVE our cats here :)

"Cats are the second most common pet, with 29% of households owning a cat. There are estimated to be 3.9 million pet cats in Australia; 16 cats for every 100 people".

I had a beautiful BIG grey boy who was a rescue cat. He died several years ago from cancer. I still miss him.

Ha yea Mabye it’s wishful thinking. .... with fluffy when he goes after sassy she will scream in fear and he just won’t quit trying to get it in. He corners her then she lets out the worst sound ever like a child in fear. I think she’s saying she’s taken and her love is bugs. All bugs can do is hide because fluffy is almost twice his size.

@Ricky Vapes – All your female bunnies are singing “My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard….” And your male bunnies are singing “You and me baby ain’t nothin’ but mammals, so lets do it like they do on the Discovery Channel”

There is no “Not now baby, I’ve got a headache.” or “The hockey game is on, stop bothering me. Why not go shopping with the girls.” Rabbits eat, poop and make more rabbits then repeat. It’s a simple life!

Gosh... quick math shows I spend about $275 a month on my dogs, and I didn’t add in toys and winter coats. So closer to $300/month.

The bird costs me about $30 in food a year, plus a couple of Sunday papers and toys. And s couple bucks for electricity for his tv. He does love some Gunsmoke and Bonanza.

The one time Jesse got sick he cost about $100. He was a year old, and we found him on the bottom of the cage, rushed him to the avian vet. He had some sort of infection.

At the pharmacy, they asked what flavor of medication he’d like. My daughter picked tutti-frutti lol. They had more choices for birds than kids!
yeah sometimes it is easier to not add up the math!

Aw thanks you guys I can’t believe the generosity from all you wonderful people I’ve never even met before. I phoned the other place and they were 400 bucks minimum so it’s even more expensive. I’m in Victoria too not on the mainland of Vancouver.

I’ve never seen anything like this love from you all it really warms my heart. I just want fluffy to be able to be calmed down and have fun with the other bunnies not be separated.

I’m Not sure how to accept money for something like this. I’ve enebe made a pay pal account before but sloth mention using it. Is that the best option?

I really don’t feel worthy of such love and generosity I am taken aback.
I will wait for your PM with your Paypal (email) info. I know you have done a lot of the work to make this happen so I will cut loose with as much cash as I can. I also got the material for hammocks

$400 …WOW! Bunnies must have balls of steel!!

Have you inquired with the Vancouver Humane Society? Do not know what is available in Victoria vs the mainland, but if you have means to travel, perhaps the mainland has cheaper options. Bit busy today, but will keep searching for ya.

400 was the highest price. I think it should end up being around 300. I know it’s crazy I was expecting 100-200 bucks Mabye. From what I remember when I had a cat. But I guess they consider them “exotic “ pets.

Thanks so much you guys I just think I may have to go to the bank to get my bank account number to add to pay pal. I can’t really find it on online banking. It’s slow today at work and I’m off earlier at 3 today because we have a Christmas dinner here at my work tonight.

Good morning Chatter's
@Ricky Vapes would probably be easier to just do a single PM inviting in all those who have offered to help. Easier for you to just manage just the one.
Okay thanks I’ll just figure out pay pal I’ll ask a couple tech savvy guys inside my work if they know how to find my bank info online as well.

I know I could just cry tears of joy. I’m not used to having any sort of help with money problems and stuff like this.
Good folks here and you're part of the family now and so are the bunnies. They're always a highlight to my day. I get so excited when there's bunny updates. Brightens my mood every time :)

You’re a good man Ricky – people want to show their appreciation for your efforts toward saving our furry little friends.

From what I’ve learned this past day or so, seems neutering/spaying rabbits is a tad more complex than a cat or dog. Perhaps the price reflects this.

That Vancouver Rabbit Rescue and Advocacy link I posted above looks interesting. They also have links to social media such as FB, perhaps inquire on their Facebook page as well. Might take a little effort, but I’m sure you’ll find something.

Aw thank you. When I build the roof for the bunny house I’ll let you know the dimensions. I think I should litter bin train them before they lay in that? I’m worried they may poop or pee on it

i don't understand how australians can have lots of cats.
i've read about the bunny plague.
cats think bunnies are the yummiest thing ever.
bunnies are extinct in my area.
i would have thot cats could control any bunny overpopulation.
