Thanks for all the well wishes. Modern medicine is amazing. I walked into the hospital at 9am Tuesday and wheelchaired out on Wednesday at 11am. Surgery was 3 hours long and harder than expected due to my having a small chest cavity.
I was super scared, I have had a lot of surgeries with no fear but this had me crying like a baby. They went in laparoscopically, cut the lung so as to remove the cancer part of it. Somehow had a bag in there with their tools, bagged it all up, including two lymph nodes and then removed it all. That bag will go to pathology to make sure there are no cancer cells in the lymph nodes. If not I am done. If so, I will do chemo. The pain was there for sure, especially while coughing. Still is, thankfully I can just stay medicated for a few days. I was able to leave if I could walk the whole floor section of where I was, a little trip around 2 nurse stations. I did it a few times with a walker and then did it without the walker. I have one of those lung toys type things that I blow into to get my lung functions up.
This all amazes me because I only found out in the beginning of January and it is done and taken care of in the beginning of February.
This diagnosis was for sure my worst fear realized. Short of the loss of a loved one. So it was here and now it is gone.
PLease, any of you, all of you that smoked go get that early detection scan of your lungs.
I will copy and paste this in the shinyitis thread for those that do not come to the animal thread.
THanks all. I am going to seriously practice gratitude from here on out. I will be nice even to the people I have on the ignore slot. LOL
Hope it all goes well. I’m guessing you won’t be vaping?

You so made my morning! I’m very glad you’re home and everything went well. Your strength has been so inspiring. So many of us smoked for decades and could well be in your shoes. Thank you for being so open with us, and encouraging us to get screened as well. You have my continued prayers for healing and clear nodes. Sending gentle hugs too

Got Smokey and Goldie to come out from under their container to play in the rain. They love carrots :)

Glad you are home @chanelvaps .

It occurred to me this a/m since I can't have a dang bunny and I NEED one right now, maybe Ricky could like start an "adopt a bunny" program. Where I pay for its food and stuff, and get a picture and like info about my "bunny." It's not a bad idea given the number of bunnies Ricky Vapes is gonna have.:lol:.

One litter and it's over. We could get a mascot, like Bono. He will do anything for being a mascot and getting a trophy. U2 could write us a bunny song etc..

I’ll see Anna ha I see wiggling fur still when I peek in at the nest of babies so I hope they make it. Mabye you could sponsor a baby bunny haha good idea. Let’s just hope these little guys make it or a least a couple. Stevie girl is still eating like crazy she pushes her way past fluffy to get fed first and stands up to see what I have. Must be giving nutrition to those babies.

Good morning Chatter's
Good to hear Stevie and babies are doing well. How's Bugs?
He’s great 2 days after surgery he was trying to hump sassy like crazy when I let them out to play. I never seen him like that before he chased her around then eventually jumped on her back and grabbed on so tight when I went running over to break it up he ripped off some of her fur. I wonder if he knew what happened and was trying to spread his seed while he still could. Poor sassy must’ve been sore still from having babies too.

So he was okay he eats great and was only a little dopey the Friday he had it done and Saturday.

HA. I was vaping within 2 hours of being woke up. Went in search of my lozenges, saw the vape and hit it without much thought. nothing exploded so I was overjoyed. Stealth vaped through the night.

I'm glad your lung let you do that. Surgery is stressful enough. Taking away the hand-to-mouth action, along with the nicotine is HARD

And don't stress about nicotine affecting wound healing. I had 3 fractures in my ankle. My surgeon/doctors had me on a nicotine patch and gum in my mouth within half an hour of being told I was a smoker, in the ER

During 2 weeks in the hospital, I had a MTL pen kit with me (thanks to my parents), and stealth vaped that - on top of nic patches and nic gum. During 3 hour ORIF orthopedic surgery, there was a patch on my ....

At my 4 week post-op checkup, the surgeon was really impressed with the wound healing. And I had vaped my .... off, during that whole 4 weeks ;)

You know what they say about boys. Once they start humping, they never go back.

I think it's a lizard/dinosaur brain type thing. Bunnies are especially prone tot this issue.

You know, our little dog,, found in the desert, after 2 years, does NOT display and never has (a humping behavior.) Pee on something that is STILL ...... at the time? Yes. Humping, no.

But then I think "What did he have to hump? A cactus? A smoke? Baby quail?" They all sort of qualify as "shelter/don't eat me/EAT THAT" not "hump."

I am kind of glad. When dogs try to hump me I give them the "Anna will cut you look," and shake it off me as KINDLY as I can manage, and then I give the dog the "Anna will cut your dog" look and suggest it like, implement CONSEQUENCES or remove the dog

To be fair, our little dog has also never peed on a human being. At least an awake one that remembers. I'm not sure I'd put it past him, but to my knowledge, he has NOT. And I would EQUALLY be willing to remove said dog and should he do so to a visitor, and like, be, "NO little dog I will CUT you" and etc.

He doesn't not humans though. LOL..

I wonder if stealth vaping is even fun anymore. Last time I stealth vaped, it was at the movie theater, but it was mostly to annoy my kid. He took me to this movie called "Shrinky dinks" or something and it turned out to be about miniaturizing yourself for either a better lifestyle, or like global warming and a way to WIN.

Not only was the Lovely Blonde Woman who normally would have been the lead like SUPER evil the LEAD actress was this... OMG Vietnamize woman with half a leg living in slumville trying to help others. I mean.... It was fine, until you considered, the plot had holes you could drive the sun through, Viet Leg was like INCREDIBLY shrill and annoying and like it was not motivational at all. Just HORRIBLE.

I could have snused. But I sat there and vaped, brazenly, especially during the annoying parts and like the BEST part of the movie for me was when viet woman limped back to the dying earth to like, help her brethren because the Norwegians who had figured it out had built high tech tunnels to weather the dying and rebirth of the earth. (???????????) That part was not explained at all just kind of tacked ON there at the end, literally the last 8 minutes.

I sat there, and perhaps even said out loud, "Oh God. Finally. A moment of REALISM. She can't swim, she has half of one leg, maybe she will just DIE there,,"

But no the hero fought his way out and they went back to slumsville and died or didn't I did not care, I was just like, AHHHHHH credits roll.

I think I hurt the boy's feelings but he was like PRO the little shrill one legged thing. I know he likes the runt of the litter (and had I been in that movie I would have TRIED to be a loving MIL, secure in the knowledge it wouldn't' have been much longer but it was SERIOUSLY one of the WORST movies I have EVER seen.

I have decided what I hate most about today's propaganda. It's not that it's propaganda. It It's JUST AWFUL. It's credulous. There is no internal logic even. It angers me because I think "How could a thinking person defend this" and I keep wondering when the Emperor's new Clothes will be ripped OFF, but if you HAVE to do propaganda make it Black Mirror not Tinyville or whatever. If you have a message please disguise that message among like, explosions, busses, humor, and a young Nicholas Cage.

I know, he's not looking so good with the plastic surgery and I am dating myself. But I would almost have rather watched a Spaghetti Western and they are about as foreign to me as well, I don't like them either.

    Oy.
