I did wash all our bed covers before he came home so they wouldn’t smell like another pup. But, I wash them weekly anyway.... fur, dirt, ya know. Our beasties have always been on the bed.To me, pet are family and I let them pick where they want to sleep.
I washed the cover for the giant memory foam bed. Putting the insert back in was like putting an elephant in a phone booth. Himself and Catdog sat there giggling at my struggles .Yeah, it hasn’t been used even once yet. He’s definitely a bed dog! Since he’s not so big, he fits fine. It’s been a long time since we had one stay in our bed all night. Monk always got in his bed once I rolled over to go to sleep. I moved the dog bed to the den, nope! He’s a sofa dog too. What can ya do?
Carli is a human bed dog and a couch dog too. Plus she still thinks it's cool to jump on my lap. At 70lbs she is pushing it. Especially when I'm in my desk chair. It's funny cat has her area on my bed and dog hers. When dog ventures beyond the invisible border cat gets up growls and smacks her. Dog yelps and retreats to her end.

And yeppers, always washing them here too. ;)

I found a new no-no word on ECF. What you do when you turn your head....what you do before you fire a pistol... or another word for rooster. It’s a crap shoot what gets censored ;)
Try the word for tiny rocks.

Ha! I just tried it. Bam-Bam's girlfriend must not be pleased.
It took me a while . I’m falling short on my British slang lol

Last one maybe ... I just had to prove @ShowMeTwice that he does indeed sleep on a dog bed!!!! Well, half of him fits. He drug it up on the bed. It’s a “well loved” puppy size left over from Monk’s litter. Silly boy

Wow, he sure has long legs. Sammy is gonna be a big boy, I think. And please, not the last pic. We always need more.

When Carli was a pup she fit in the cat bed. Now only her head would fit.

The shelter said he’s around 2yo. I’m not so inclined to think they’re right. His teeth are really clean, and the ridges are still pretty well defined. I’m waiting on his records from them so I can take him to our vet for a checkup. He’s got the teenage/awkwardness of an older puppy with those long legs. But, maybe it’s just whatever mix he is.
Shepherd puppies are so precious! I’m sorry my oldest doesn’t do GSD foster/rescue any more. It was an endless supply of puppies to love on.

Huge paws, @NolaMel . You gonna need a bigger bed . So you have a tiger cat and dog that is gigantic as well. You seem to collect large things.

    Is himself like 8'11?
    Anna
Lol!!! No, you’re off by about 3’ on himself. He’s just a standard,ol regulation sized hubby .
If this boy gets as big as Monk was, we’re going to have to bump up to a king bed. But, they said he was full grown. I was aiming for something 30-40 lbs. We’ll see how that works out.
And the cat... I have to admit to not normally being a cat person, since I’m allergic to them. My other cat (that my youngest took when she moved out) is a whopping six pounds (she’s 12yo). I knew she was tiny for an adult cat, so I didn’t think Catdog was that off the scale. Until the new neighbors moved in with 4 in/out cats that visit my yard. Yeah, Catdog is a little more on the bobcat rather than house kitty size scale. But...She was a free, pre-owned cat, so I can’t complain. She doesn’t meow, jump, climb, or scratch the furniture.... big plusses. Sort of a purring, chirping sofa cushion I feed every day.

The husband and I are the same height almost exactly. His family are a bunch of hobbits but he did used to be a slightly more respectable 5'6 and then he lost two inches pulverizing his neck in that car accident. So he's also slightly deformed, I mean it's noticeable.

Fortunately, he doesn't seem to mind. I wore four inch blue Espadrilles at our wedding. He was like "NO, I don't care! The hotter you are the better you make me look." LOL. So I get to wear high heels with impunity which his fortunate because at the time I was not ALL OVER wearing blue danscos to the wedding.

Which I wish the husband would find the pics they're on some external drive or something. I was at peal hotness.

Fortunately, what he lacks in stature he makes up for in attitude. It's kind of like a pit bull they like they super are not cute, but they serve a function. I call him the "bodyguard to my hotness." He's like "Okay Whitney Houston." I respond "As a woman and also honorary black woman I hate you." LOL he also has that charisma thing makes up for every defect.

Last time we were snuggling he was like "noticing my belly?" I was like, "Nope you are the HOTTEST dude I know.." I meant it too although there are moments if I get irritated I also thing, "Well hey there Igor, wanna shut up?" I don't think he worries much about what he like, looks like, more what he can still do.

Puppy pics are always welcome viewing

Ike came out with me on my afternoon round. He usually just sits by the gate, while I collect eggs. On my way out of one gate today, 5 chickens followed me a bit too quickly and got out.

Ike stood up, positioned himself so that he blocked them from further free-ranging, and proceeded to give them his stern intimidating errant sheep, stare. The bloody chickens laughed, and carried on walking. He rounded them up again, showing a bit more teeth. I opened the gate, and the lil peckers finally went back in ;)

stuck in a squishy pod called my brain
My daughter took an old iPhone that was outdated (not hooked to cellular) and uses it as an iPod. Without all the other phone stuff on it, plenty of room for tons of music.
Old cell phones are used for all kinds of stuff,, "mini photo frames",, digital crypto wallets, - you have to uninstall stuff,, file holder like usb stick with a mini monitor,, baby monitor,, i keep my 2 old smart cell phones until I am sure i have deactivated completely of my data.

Smart phones tend to last me 5+ years,, i don't keep much on an active phone.

As we’re doing the doggie dna test, Himself looks at me very seriously and asks, “ Are you still going to love him when we find out he’s just a giant chihuahua?”:lol::lol:. He’s not as curious as I am, so he thinks the whole thing is funny.
I’ll drop it off at the PO tomorrow. We should know in several weeks what Mr Sammy really is. Vet gets to make her guess Monday.

I always wondered what Toby was but never bothered with the sending his picture and a swab to some company for a “DNA test”. I figured it’s a money grab and it’s still really only a guess which could vary from one company to the next. Not as strict protocols in place as human testing. In my opinion lIt’s good for some fun if you have the money but some people try to use it to find out health problems they may have in the future and whatnot.

I'd put him as a spaniel/pomeranium or similar mix. He's gorgeous, regardless of his genes

Cocker spaniel and a bischon I always tell people . He was supposed to have some Pomeranian in him my mom and sister were told when they got him. But they also said he was going to be a 15 pound max purse size dog when he grew up. He’s 45 pounds and was 50 at one point!
