A somewhat frightening sofa cushion.
She’s 90% stuffed animal lol. Only cat we’ve ever had that willingly took baths and let me clip her nails without a fuss.
I’m late with dinner? That’s a whole different story... lots of noise then. Girl likes her dinner right on time

My plush toy indoor/outdoor cat (he never hunted or left the yard, he had no interest) was on the small side. He didn't seem to care if he ate much either he was the type of cat you could leave food out for and he didn't overeat, either. LOL I think he liked the calories from laying outside and not the ones from digesting even.

I have mad love for Coyotes in Tucson and I have no clue why. The ones in Tucson there was a pack that conversed with me not so here in Douglas. The husband witnessed it from time to time. I am a sleep walker under the right conditions. I happen to love the little devils although I agree, they are unspeakably vicious but it is also their nature. I also informed the husband you could NOT believe a word they said. He witnessed a long, one sided conversation with me and them once (well they howled back.) Right at the end of the conversation I began laughing out loud and said "Uh huh, sure, I am sure you would love THAT." He asked me what they said, and I said, "Oh the head of the pack just said I should come play with them. Play DINNER more like. I loved those coyotes and they could not be trusted, but they did stay the hell out of our yard, upon my command. I was like, "I am NOT going to talk to you guys if you get ANWHERE near my son's dog. Stay out." They respected it. I am pretty sure. Because although our yard gate remained perpetually open, well, the dog was fenced in but not a super high fence. He had a dog house. He never seemed bothered.

However, he did like live in the desert for like 2 years of his earliest life. I do believe he is our smartest dog when it comes to mother nature. ONE DAY this GIANT vulture swooped overhead a few days in a row, and like then LANDED less than 10 feet away hoping to SNATCH him up. NEVER have I seen a beastie enter his dog house so swiftly. It was only a fear of looking undignified to the damn VULTERE that stopped me diving inside with him IT WAS HUGE,

I backed slowly and carefully toward the door, grabbing some implement and never taking my eyes off it for a SECOND. I was like, "I bet if I allowed it, that thing would try to carry me OFF and it might WIN."

It looked exactly like something that sits on either of Hillary's shoulders. I always forget which side is the conscience, and which the devil. I assume due to all the sinister and left handedness it is the LEFT side. But in Hillary's case it is BOTH sides, so I don't have to worry. She can save the other side for a Ghoul or a pile of million dollar bills, I do not care.

But yeah the Douglas coyotes said a quick hello, then not much. The ravens talk here. They're pretty unexciting though. I think Douglas Coyotes are a bit more elder statesmen than Tucson Coyotes who are TOTALLY adolescent.

I always get some wild animal talking to me wherever I go, and it's cool. I can't wait to see what West Virginia Brings, as long as it's not terrifying like a brown bear or something. Who knows. I will have to wait and see. It better be an ANIMAL though if I have snakes talking to me well, that would be no fun. Reptiles can't talk I don't think, birds barely can.

Good afternoon ShinyChat's!

Carli and I went down to the beach for a long frisbee session this morning. We did a quickie jump in/out of the lake too. Lake Michigan water is refreshingly c-c-cold this time of year (56°f/13°c). It'll warm to 75°f/23°c by August/Sept.

yeah that look in her eyes says it all. Probably going to pee on your pillow tonight.
Fortunately, she’s a very polite kitty. She’s just miffed I didn’t let the sink fill up so she could soak. She’s an odd, odd gal.
Vet visit went well, except she’s gained weight. No idea how. She eats weighed out diet cat food, doesn’t have treats or people food. Idk, maybe she’s sneaking into the fridge at night

How is new puppy adjusting @NolaMel ?
Anna
Awesome! He’s settled right in. I got an email from Cornell vet school saying they’d received his dna sample. We should know what he is in about three weeks. Our vet guessed half rottie with a bit of lab and !!!! chihuahua or pomeranian somewhere in there. It’s fun to guess for the meantime
