There are a lot of comments throughout the various subject titles about 'shinyitus' but in my opinion the real culprit in the sub ohming segment of vaping is not so much shiny new box mods as it is the market flooding by manufacturers of second and third generations of clearomizers with 'fixes' way too suspiciously corrected, as if the first gen clearo was deliberately perhaps, 'made to be fixed '?

The Uwell Crown and the new Crown 2 come immediately to mind ... every flaw in the Uwell Crown, and flaws I should mention that even novices could spot were addressed .... after I have already bought a Crown 1 for every box mod you see in my avatar.

The Crown can pour out liquid down the front of your blouse or shirt like an automatic shot glass if you aren't extremely attentive ... have a need to open it from the bottom and suddenly the quartz tank is loose.

The Crown 2 addresses things by adding a top gasket that covers the entire top of the tank, the lock down anti twist off insert, and other negatives ... see a 'pro' video review of the Crown 2 to see what I mean .... Obviously one can't fault manufacturers from wanting to move ahead with product but even auto manufacturers don't put out 2 or 3 versions of the same car within 16 months ... just sayin' ...

It is a completely new industry, less tan 10 years old. I think that it is remarkable where we are with the tech. Yip, there are some growing pains, but this old geezer loves what is happening here. Now the government is sticking thier meddling nose in & telling us how to do it..........they cant even regulate thier bowels.

I agree to a point but on the other hand clearomizers have had some additions that are as necessary as windshield wipers .... The Uwell Crown 2 limited top threads should just by logic eliminate any company wanting to produce the same old many turns system if the tank is a top opener .... it's brilliant, not as a singular model idea but as brilliant as the first auto with rubber tires ... so many serious ideas that need desperately to become STANDARDs in the industry ...
