Shipping Clearance?

I have an item shipped DHL, I would understand a clearance delay at customs in the US. But it has a "clearance delay" at the sort facility in Shenzhen. What does this mean?

Sorry to bring up an old thread.. but what ended up happening? Is the clearance delay normal? My order is going to the US and is also under "Clearance Delay" at Shenzhen.

I've never ordered e-cig stuff overseas before, so this could be completely normal for all I know. This is what the tracking says.

Further Detail:
Due to the nature of the goods, specific authorization is required from a regulatory authority other than Customs for further clearance

Next Step:
Further processing will occur as instructed by the regulatory authority. A DHL representative will attempt to contact the importer or shipper if further details are required

Normally orders containing ejuice or prefilled carts will have Clearance delay in Shenzhen, because ejuice or prefilled carts need more inspectation.

Please do not worry about it. You will see its update in 2 days.

Thanks for the reply, actually the processing is now complete. I just haven't dealt with this before and was curious. It's on the way!

Yeah mine was there for about 2 days and then was at the processing station in LA for a day for the same thing.
