Hi I'm new to the forum, but I was hoping someone could help me with a question, please? I've been vaping for 5 years and purchasing online for 4. I recently ordered from a company, they put a Kangertech 7 ml tank in one of those thin white plastic bags along with 2-120ml plastic unsealed ejuice bottles and 5 unwrapped or protected glass bottles of well known high quality Ejuices. 1 of them was suppose to be 120 ml bottle. I received package and of course the juices were smashed they even poked holes in the plastic bottles. My son unknowingly just grabbed mail as always... The envelope was coated with ejuice... Scrubbed his hands and arms, then immediately contacted supplier. They only have email(?)... Never received a response... Kept trying they first blamed my mail carrier harassed me for letting a 10 yr old get mail the end result was they claim I can only be reimbursed by USPS, this vendor is in CA I get my orders from there in2-3 business days. They took over a month, they'd sent me an email stating my order was complete with a tracking number, nothing shipped for 10 days, I requested a refund really loving this new blueberry yogurt from Trippy drips, ran out and really wanted more. Thought I'd try out the Kiberry Yogurt by Kilo heard it was good that was my smashed order. All the years I've ordered ejuice it's been packaged bubble wrapped and taped together. Aren't there some kind of regulations they have before mailing it to a residential home? Thank you if you've read this, any suggestions or comments are greatly appreciated :p Keepcalmvapeon

Technically the vendor is correct, the refund should come from USPS, but, the vendor should replace your order and seek the refund themselves. This isn't customer service and I would let them be aware that I was letting all of the forum members know of your experience.
Thank you J, I've been going back and forth with them. Any ejuice I've ever received including plastic bottle have all been bubble wrapped taped together. I REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP THANK YOU

Thank you J, I really appreciate your help. I had always received all juices glass and plastics bubble wrapped and taped together. I tried explaining to them with gov down all our backs. Together we all had to work together to keep our vaping rights Both myself the consumer and themselves as sellers. Have a great day!

No, the refund shouldn't come from the USPS. Their responsibility for damages only applies when the contents of a package are properly prepared for shipment and when the outer packaging is appropriate to protect the type of contents that are on it.

According to the OP, the vendor sent breakable, glass bottles containing liquids...not even in a Ziplock baggie, and with NO bubblewrap or other protective materials around the bottles, nor between them. They also then used only a poly mailer as the outer packaging, not even a bubble poly mailer at that, let alone a cardboard box! Hello...who ships glass bottles of liquids like that, and expects them to get somewhere without breaking???

There's no way the USPS is responsible for the damage done to the contents of OP's package. It was totally inappropriate packaging, in every possible way, that the vendor used...plain & simple.

USPS will only pay out if insurance was purchased and will only pay the one buying said insurance. that would be the seller. the seller is at fault for not properly packaging your order. the seller should make this right for you. i don`t want to buy from a seller like that so if they don`t make it right you should out them.

@Keepcalmvapeon - I think you're definitely out of luck as far as the USPS being of any help with this situation. From 1998-2010 I was both a buyer & seller on eBay and elsewhere online. I had some experience with the USPS & insurance coverage claims during that time period. Below is, in a nutshell, what their policy is on insurance claims.

The USPS will only pay for damages up to the amount the insurance purchased will cover IF: (1) the proper completed claims forms, the paid USPS receipt for the postage, & the insurance coverage receipt...are all submitted within a set deadline, by the person who shipped the package & paid for the insurance; (2) all packaging & contents were retained & taken to a USPS location for proper inspection; (3) a USPS supervisor determines that the packaging used was sufficient & proper to protect the enclosed contents during transit under normal care; and (4) the fault lies with the USPS for failure to deliver the package in good condition.

IF you took pictures of the packaging & broken pieces of glass, and the liquid all over the contents & packaging when it arrived...your CC company may be able to hold your vendor accountable for your loss & allow you to do a chargeback. That's probably your only recourse, unfortunately, in this situation.

Best juice in the world isn't much good if it doesn't make it to my mailbox in one piece...

Vendors scrimping on the labour and material for packing their goods properly aren't doing themselves a favour.
Time and effort spent handling complaints and claims costs more than bubblewrap or cardboard sleeves.

This company better be glad it wasnt me they did this to. Because if got my stuff like this you know what I would do? I would have my fiance call them. And trust me... they do NOT want that to happen. Sorry this happened to you bud and I hope you get it resolved.

Hi everyone
Thanks to all who replied I sincerely appreciate it.
Being a newbie, lol, not sure if I can put down this companies name or what.
The saga continues...
I know Arkansas can no longer buy ejuice online and have it shipped to them... This company jeopardizes all our rights to keep on vaping, that was only my question... I know their are laws liquid nicotine is no joke!!! I tried making my own for a bit... I'm addicted to the complex flavors.. So that's why I am willing to pay online. Sure wish I could've tried it out!!! But seriously, I'm not usually a complainer, they crossed too many boundaries! They blamed USPS, my postal carrier, myself as well as my 10 year old who got the mail that day... My kids know NEVER EVER to touch my vaping products, it was right before Easter grandma sends presents. My kids fault??? Right !!!
I researched legalities of mailing ejuice and cut copied and pasted them 4 as well as telling them I'd be happy to assist them with further updates as soon as I received more info. Ended it with have a great day and thank you... Feeling a little sarcastic at that time!
3/23/16 they sent a reply stating my funds would be credited to my card by Monday. Figured they'd take their time... Checked last Friday surprise still my funds weren't returned! I sent MANY emails requesting the verfication code to track return of funds.... Still haven't received 1 response!!!
Did I also tell you they stated with the return of my funds, they would no longer do any future business with me???
It's a larger company I've pulled up some reviews and I'm not the only one they've dumped on or ignored.
Having a business is a priveledge, I had my own but after some medical nightmares I'm now disabled.
So this company is just ignorant and I'd love to tell the big brand labeled companies how this place does business... Never break a bridge or bite the hand that feeds you !!!
Yup, I'm mad, I'm out 96.00, no juice really wanted to try out one brand I paid for but really if this happened to me how many others had it happen to them?
I don't want to loose my ability to buy ejuice online or in stores at all!
Give the government a bunch of stories like mine and it just helps them ban mailing ejuice to any of us. Furthermore, anything my package leaked on could've leaked on a gift to a baby and they play with the box more than a gift... They put everything in their mouths....cats are totally attracted to liquid nicotine. Others are allergic, not good!
If you could read their responses you'd think they hired their children to reply to the emails people send them!
But seriously thank you EVERYONE for taking the time to read my post I really appreciate all of your replies. Your an AWSOME group of people!!! Thanks again. Keepcalmvapeon

Yeah I agree it sounds like terrible customer service, in reality they should have packaged it correctly in the first place but failing that they should have replaced your products then got onto contacting the shipping company themselves especially since a child has been involved. After all its a bit much to as you the customer to unravel a tangled mess you had no hand in creating.
