Hey guys I received a bad batch of nic recently and the vendor is willing to make it right . They gave me an address and asked me to return said product. It took them 4 days to respond to my initial email and I just emailed again asking what's the best way of mailing , as I never have shipped nic. I suppose I can wait for their response, but would like to get it out as fast as possible in order to get my new and hopefully better product this time. Anyways, what's the best way of doing this? Arent there restrictions when shipping hazardous chemicals? I know vendors do it, but always thought they can because they are licensed to do so.....thanks

not sure, but i would assume it's a hazardous chemical,if it's allowed to be shipped USPS.
you could ask an USPS employee.
for hazardous chemical, proper way is,goes by ground.marked ORM-D in big letters.
no license.
most small sellers don't follow the rules.
you could just wrap it up,put it in a zip lock bag and put it in a box.that's the cheapest way.
or
you can forget about it and find a different vendor.
been a seller for 10 years (nothing with vaping),i would never ask a buyer to return something like that.

In a way I was happy they were going to swap it, but your right, why put me thru this. I would be happy to show them on video the color of this nic, which should be good enough...

Do you mind sharing the vendor? Or PM-ing maybe?
Things happen, even with the best vendors. The important thing is that they are willing to make it correct. Most people here are aware of this.
But some need to get it right from first try (eg. int'l customers).
I was initially but being they were going to make it right, decided not to. But now with this hassle of shipping it, I may again decide to.

I'd just use the same packaging, labeling and class of mail that the shipper did. Don't overthink it.
Well tbh I've had it for 2 weeks and told them that. See once I received it, I immediately transferred to glass bottles and into freezer. I seen it wasnt to clear, but was so worried about the strength (much stronger then 100mg) and my safty with goggles, gloves, mask, I just wanted to get it done. A few days ago I wanted to do a test batch and that's when I seen just how bad it was. Honestly I threw all the packaging away and dont remember how it was done...live and learn I guess as I'm really just getting into this diy thing

Yeah, returning it does sound like an immense hassle. I think the first reply perfectly summarized your options. I'd probably write it off and switch suppliers.

Damn, Diver...just starting diy and going way stronger than 100mg? Pretty aggressive start. I started with 48mg, just to make it easier, so I wouldn't have to worry about being so precise. Go big or go home, huh? I guess all the news got to you a little.;)

I think GoMuni has the right idea. Just go with how they shipped it. And sample the next batch before all the work.

And nothing wrong with sharing who you got it from - you'd be doing all of us a favor. As long as you continue to share how they make it right. Even that could get them customers, so you wouldn't be unnecessarily hurting them. And if they're making you jump through hoops to send back bad product, when as you said, more expeditious means are available, nothing wrong with sharing that. That's not badmouthing, it's just honest word of mouth.

It's just that we only have 1 frig and not alot of room, so figured why not get something that takes up 2.5 less space, but I guess it backfired. Perhaps that's the reason, as its something that's been sitting around more so than the basic strength that most purchase. Nicotine Giant still hasn't gotten back to me about the shipping method and now I'm remembering that they had to charge me like 40 or 50 bucks to ship my order initially because it only could only be shipped ups or FedEx ground i think, so I'm pretty sure that's what I may have to pay to return it properly, which is crazy! I will wait another day or two and if they dont contact me again, will have to make a decision . The first email I sent them went 4 days with nothing , it wasnt until I mentioned that I was an ecf member and that I got their site thru ecf that I received a response the next day, so I thought they would respond to this second email promptly. If it were a 50 dollar purchase, I wouldn't be so upset, but this stuff is quite expensive and tbh, unvapable .

Yeah, you may be right about the strong stuff not flying off the shelves. I know they've been around a while, and a lot of people use them, but I never have. You'd think they'd maybe ask for pics, video, just a small sample sent back or something, but not return the entire amount under the circumstances. Sounds like they're risking losing more business than it would cost them to make this right quickly and easily.

I honestly feel like if they want it returned especially considering this is a sensitive product and the average Joe isn't going to know the standards of shipping... that they should send you the packaging that it needs to come back in and if they don't want to do something like that then they should tell you to dump it and here's your new stuff, sorry about the hassle I hope that you're satisfied with us and don't go on a forum and release our name because we're giving you a big issue because we made a mistake and sent you a bad batch... I mean at least that's what I think

Well the issue is being resolved and I'm glad they are a stand up company. It did take time, over a week of trying to contact them thru emails, phone calls, and finally a private message here on ecf, but they are re sending without me trying to send back the product.....they did use ups ground when they shipped and when I went there to ask , ups told me I had to be a licensed vendor to ship, so legally I dont think individuals can do it afaik.....so if the new batch is a very good product, like most reviews state, I would definitely feel comfortable ordering from them again, knowing that in the end they do stand behind their products.

I feel the same way in regard to companies that make a mistake or send me a defective product or a substandard one but then make it right. It's a bummer that you have to go through the process but mistakes are made by everyone including businesses and the important thing is that you can open communication and that the issue is resolved to your satisfaction so I definitely appreciate not wanting to put them on blast. That being said at least in this forum it seems people understand and can appreciate a company that has made a mistake and rights it even more so than a company that allegedly has never made a mistake
