So me and my husband are looking at using an e cig to quit smoking. I have done alot of research and decided on the safe cig micro classics as they seem to the least complicated and most like a real smoke. My question is- can I get this shipped to Canada? Will it just get denied at the border? We wanted to get the cartridges with nicotine and slowly work our way to zero. As far as I know they don't sell the ones with nicotine here which is why I sought it out online but now I'm worried it won;t get here and I will have to deal with the company for refunds and such. Thanks in advance.

hardware by itself should not have issues getting here, juice or pre-filled carts containing nicotine may be denied. It is pretty much a crapshoot. There are plenty of Canadian vendors online, i have not seen the safe cig micro classics in canada, but they do look similar to the KR808D-1 type e-cig, the battery life is not super on these but it is a good starting point if you are looking for something that looks similar to an analog. I would recommend www.CANVAPE.com for their great pricing and fast shipping. Pre-filled carts are a different matter, not sure who offers them here, but IMO it is pretty easy to just buy blanks and fill them with your fave juice. :)

EDIT: Once you get your 5 posts and wait an hour you can come and post with us on the Canada forum and you can also request a list of canadian vendors via PM :vapor:

+1 for the Therealcmac's advice. If you're looking for a slim-sized cig, the KR808D-1 model is a great option. I haven't come across pre-filled cartomizers in Canada, but cartomizers are really easy to fill yourself (and there are a tonne of videos that will show you how to do it) and it's much cheaper than buying pre-filled cartomizers because cartos can be refilled over and over.

As Therealcmac mentioned, get your post count up and head to the stickies section of the Canada Forum to request a list of Canadian vendors that sell juice.

It's difficult for me to provide advice on shipping from the US, because it's hit and miss. I've generally only ordered hardware from the US, and I received it, but it took a while (usually around 13-15 days and once it took over a month). I've never had a shipment refused, but there are many tales of people who have had problems with customs. Basically, you take your chances when you order from out of country. Most people don't have issues, but some do.

I would much rather get prefilled rather than trying to fill my own. Especially when I am dealing with nicotine. If I were using the ecig permanently for pleasure I might take the time to learn but we plan on using it to quit only and eventually going to zero mg nic.

Just a quick word of caution if you're going to use pre-filled cartomizers - all companies will say that their pre-filled cartomizers are equal to a pack of cigarettes, but anyone who's tried them can say they LIE! lol. No standard-sized cartomizer can hold enough juice to last anywhere near that long. They're really equivalent to about 6-8 cigarettes max, so plan accordingly so that you don't run out of supplies.

I remember getting my first kit with three packs of cartomizers (15) and thinking I was set for weeks based on my pack a day + habit. It ended up being 3 days worth of supplies. Fortunately I already had blank cartos and juice in the mail which arrived just in time.

Be sure to also check vendor lists in the Canada forum in National Forums as well as the Canada Classified and Vendor threads in Buying & Selling.

BTW Safecig Micro - isn't that an RN4081? Not a very popular threading so hopefully you will be happy with whatever the vendor offers or that you can find blank RN4081 cartomizers. If you are buying auto batteries, buy at least one spare. If they sell manuals I recommend those - I think RN4081 manuals may be totally sealed metal on the threaded end so you can't damage/kill them with juice leaks. And manuals give you more control of you hit and make it easier to get a good drag every time. And note - standard short RN4081 is 180mah. 100mah is about 1 hour of moderate vaping. If they sell the new long RN4081, those should be 280mah. I recommend PCC cases and a charger for work.

BTW bad customer service review here
http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/fo...234189-safe-cig-bad-bad-customer-service.html

And in general - don't believe the bs ecig rebranders use to try to sell their models. Slim ecig batteries do not last all day. A cartridge or cartomizer is not equal to 1-2 packs of smokes. None of the them are the "Best" "Most Popular" "#1 Rated" anything except on their bs fake "review" sites. What they ARE good at is slathering the web with references and links to their products and their bs "articles" and "reviews" with links that point to their site.

I purchased a Volt starter kit and am worried it might be held at customs....

I just ordered 10 bottles of juice so i am right there with you buddy! lol, if it is just hardware and there is no juice or prefilled carts and the shipping slip doesnt say anything about ecig you should be OK.

Hey there! First of all - EXCELLENT choice! I love my Volt!

I've ordered hardware from Smokeless Image 4 times and it's always in my mailbox 10-15 days after I order it. They ship it out right away and it gets to Canada quickly but clearing customs can take a little while.

I'm usually pretty impatient when it comes to juice orders (I want them NOW!), so I have them sent to a parcel service across the US border and drive a a little over an hour to pick it up. And no - I don't declare it at the border!! My cousin (also in Winnipeg) always orders juice/pre-filled cartos from Smokeless Image and has them sent to her house, and has never had any issues.

Don't pay too much attention to the USPS tracking info. It never updates properly for Canadian shipping, so it'll look like it's stuck in the US for a long time. It's not - it's on its way but the tracking info won't show that so don't panic!!

Cheers!
:)

:)

I always track with both USPS and Canada post on my shipments from the states, once it leaves the states it is usually picked up by CP tracking and gives better info, especially with express shipping, i have a great app on my iPhone which updates me everytime something has changed with either company on a given package :)

Well I feel like a big dummy now because I never thought of switching over to Canada Post to check the status - I just kept checking USPS and wondered why it didn't track it any further! DUH. Thanks for the tip, cmac! :)

To the OP, I agree with therealcmac and lunabella go to CANVAPE.COM ...

The starter kit comes with prefilled cart and I ordered a extra pack of prefilled cart.
