Thanks for all the help everyone!

I'm looking through the options on canvape.com right now, trying to figure out where to start. Probably best I start with a kit? Anyone have any recommendations for which vaporizers I should be considering?

Hi and welcome. Canvape an excellent and low cost quality Vendor. Also ECF listed/ verified.
How much do you smoke per day?
Do you mind something larger than cig sized?
Battery info: 100 mah= 1 hr normal vaping before recharge is needed.

Ok thanks, I requested that list.

I usually smoke about 10-15 cigs per day. I've been smoking a lot less lately since I've been trying to quit, but I'd say 10 is the number that makes me happy

Thanks. Here's a primer vid by PB. Highly suggested you watch it first. Internet probs/ on and off today!!!

In the next post I'll list some options and the diff PV classes.

First is the eRoll. The only downside is the cartridges only hold .6 ml juice but this PV fires at 3.7 volts. Battery is only 90 mah but has a charging case that can charge the batt on the go. Also the juice delivery system (holds and vaporizes the juice) is proprietary so you are very limited as to what you can attach to it to hold and vaporize the juice.

Next is the eGo class/ style PV. They come in set voltage (3.3 volts or 3.7 volts)
JoyeTecg eGo fires @ 3.3 volts.
SmokTech eGo, Kgo and Riva fire @ 3.7 volts.
Comes in 650- 1100 mah.
OR
VV/ variable voltage eGo (3.2- 4.8 volts).
Within the VV eGo style there's the Spinner, Kgo VV,Twist and Winder. Comes in 400 mah- 1300 mah.

Sweet! I'll get back to you after watching those videos.

This is the one I was looking at this morning, after suggestions from another member

https://www.canvape.com/product-p/iexpress.htm

It's a good one but only comes with one battery. This is a vid from Version 1 but since then changes have been made...PB gives the battery system an enthusiastic thumbs up
REALIZE this is Version 1 BUT he LOVES the battery...

Great videos, gave me a lot to think about.

Given that I smoke 10ish cigarettes/day, what concentration of nicotine should I be considering? Or, can I get unflavoured nicotine juice and mix it with flavoured nicotine-free juice, so that I can vary my own concentration?

People that smoke 1+ PAD usually start at 18 or 24 mg nicotine. I'd say maybe 12 mg. Easy enough to DIY juice. Here's a calculator.
eJuice Me Up - Best eJuice Calculator
PG/ USP and VG/ USP bought cheaply at the Pharmacy. VG in the first aid section and PG sometimes special order- if asked you're making non allergenic soap with the PG.
Here's a cheap syringe- $2.00 BUT you must clear coat nail polish the numbers otherwise they'll erase:

Cool! Well, I'd like to get started as soon as possible and I already have tonnes of info to think about, so maybe for now I'll just pick up a few of the pre-mixed juices and start looking at DIY over the following months

Great and glad we could be of help. I myself vaped premade for about a month before I got into DIY. First get comfortable with your gear and stuff. Next you're gonna need JDS- juice delivery systems (holds and vaporizes the juice. Good news is there are many rebuildables out there- simply unscrew the old head and screw in new head. Cheap ($1.50) and easy (10 secs). My heads, with maintenance. are lasting 10+ weeks.
Best of Luck.
P.S. EVERYONE has their fave JDS :D

Yeah one thing at a time. Now I've just got to decide on flavours!

Thanks for all the help everyone

My experience in regards to flavors...
When I first began vaping I bought 30 wide ranging samples. Out of those 30 I liked 10. Immediately ordered another 20 and out of those I liked 10…so out 50 different flavors I enjoyed 20. Months later I tried those 30 samples that I disliked and enjoyed all but one. Whether it was because my tastes had changed or they needed steeping I don’t know. Realize also "same name" juices will vary greatly in taste from vendor to vendor as they all have diff recipes and order ingredients from diff Suppliers.
Some juices will taste absolutely horrid. Best to buy a 510 atomizer to test new juices- easy to clean.
Get a 2.5 ohm atty "if" you're buying the VV iTaste:
