I am on the same page as far as this goes... the custard is very average for me. I drip it every now and then to see if it has changed or if my palate likes it more (I've had it for several months now and it is very dark and well steeped), but I just find it a very mediocre vanilla vape. My favorite vanilla is still Very Vanilla from Sweet Vapes. I highly recommend it for people looking for a very creamy, rich, ice cream type of vanilla. It's worth a try.

Thanks Kyi. I will order up a small bottle of that. See if that works for me.

I ordered three from Nicoticket: Doodle, CLS and Creme Brulée. I'm a pretty new vaper all things considered, but I loved them. I will caution though that while Doodle was great right when it came, I let the two others steep (about two weeks with shipping...I'm not too patient).
They're really smooth, and not overpowering in sweetness. That's what I liked anyway, they're now all three ADVs for me.

Although to repeat the others, taste is so subjective...

They might grow on you. That's what happened to me. I liked Custard's Last Stand and Creme Brulee when I first tried them but they were nothing special.

Several days later I found myself really craving Creme Brulee even though it didn't wow me at first. I filled up a clearo and couldn't understand why I wasn't too impressed at first.

They do get better with steeping but in my case I think my tastes just changed. Or maybe I was expecting too much at first and didn't realize how much I liked it, if that makes any sense.

I think certain juices get hyped to death simply because people are much more likely to post a positive, excited response to a product than they are a meh response. I know I do this a lot. I'll post a big thumbs up for products I love, but a juice that strikes me as just so-so doesn't seem worth mentioning either way.

I think many people are like me, and can't see any point in sounding like Debbie Downer in a thread full of people who love something or other, so they don't say anything at all.

That's not really the fault of the juice, though. It's just the way public opinion expresses itself.

Yes this is very true. If I love a juice I'll post about it. But typically, if I don't like a particular juice-I don't say anything. I too, try to not blame the juice or vendor, as I know taste is subjective.

In all honesty-no amount of steeping will fix my issues with the juices mentioned in this post because, frankly, if they have only weakened after 6-8 weeks of steeping(2 whole months), I doubt that suddenly and magically flavor will just 'appear' out of nowhere. I would never throw any juice in the garbage though. I keep giving it a chance from week to week. But, as I said...it's reverse steeping like crazy :)

Yep. Same here.

I found Nicoticket pretty unexciting, even after a couple of weeks, but still - nowhere near awful enough to mention.

I guess I've just been vaping too long to be "shockingly disappointed" by anything short of radioactive rat poison wrapped in bloody newspapers and delivered by gremlins.

But that's just me. :)

I'm very new here (and to vaping) but I am wondering how much the differences in opinions might be because of different equipment?

That can make a HUGE difference. However, I've used different methods to try to get some flavor out of this stuff to no avail. Like I said-it was great when I first got it. But now it's just...meh.

Some of the equipment I've tried(quite a variety):
1. Sentinel M16 with IGO-W atomizer
2. Sentinel M16 with Trident atomizer
3. Sentinel M16 with Kayfun Lite Plus
4. Innokin VTR with iClear 30S(various wattage & voltage settings tried)
5. Innokin VTR with Kayfun Lite Plus(various v & w settings tried)
6. Innokin Cool Fire 1 with iClear 30B
7. SmokTech SID(various wattage & voltage settings attempted)
8. Ego Twist with Kanger T3S

So...equipment is not my issue I don't think. Maybe I just got a bad batch. But a lot of ppl ordered the Frenilla & Radioactive the same time as me and say theirs is packed with flavor...

At this point, I'm at a loss

That's always a possibility.

I test anything new in a freshly rebuilt dripper, but I've no idea what other people do. It's certainly true that some juices just don't do well in flavor-muting toppers of any kind.

And welcome to ECF, Ohaya. :) Just beware of the E Liquid Forum! When I was new this place had me blowing so much cash it wasn't even funny.

LOL, wouldn't be surprised if some ambitious new vendor took this for a marketing gimmick.

I feel like CLS is very true to an actual custard, but the thing is unless you really love these heavy dessert juices it's not going to be something you'll want to vape all day. This is nothing against the juice itself because I think for what it is, it's incredible - but you'd have to really like custard / sweet dessert vapes. For me, I didn't enjoy it simply because of the nature of the flavor itself, I'm not into dessert vapes and gave this a shot based on hype alone... I had unrealistic expectations and wanted it to be something it wasn't. That doesn't mean it's a bad flavor, I would deff recommend it to anyone looking for that sort of thing, just not for me.

Betelguise was excellent for me after 2 weeks but by the 1 month mark the flavor profile shifted. The only way I can describe it is it started to get more & more sour. I feel like with his juices there's a "sweet spot" for when they really shine... but before or after that point, no bueno. Nicoticket is the first vendor I've experienced this with, as normally juices only get better with age.

& Shout out to Clark for providing some of the best customer service I've ever encountered from a vendor -- that alone would keep me coming back!

I just wanted to follow up here and clarify something. When I say I was "shockingly disappointed"...I am not saying it a bad flavor. I just think I got hyped up by all the reviews. I can see these flavors being excellent to those who love these flavors. Please do not let this thread or my opinion of the flavors scare you from trying them...TASTE IS SUBJECTIVE.

You know what when I first tried boba's bounty it was so hyped and it was at a time it was out of stock they were having some issues
that plus the fact that I stalked the site 3 weeks before I decided to order

then when I went to order they were out for another 3 weeks
then I had to order in a 10 min window at either 10 or 11 est
so that took another 3 days

the whole time seeing threads open up talking how this is the 1 juice and people were going crazy to get it

Man I expected the skies to open when I vaped it
yea I was very disappointed

it took till the end if the bottle which I vaped over a 2 month period to get past the expectation
and try to enjoy it for what it was just a really good solid juice

today I love it

its not my number 1 for sure
its not the most exiting juice for sure

but it really is a good solid juice I don't get sick of (like some of the more exiting juices I try sometimes )

I don't keep it in stock at all times but I don't like to be out of it too long anyway

but the point is too much hype can ruin a good juice for sure

Glad to hear Im not alone in this. I will say that NT's customer service was out of this world and because of that I will likely try another flavor or two at some point from them. In the mean time can anyone point me in the direction of a great Vanilla. I know taste is subjective...yada yada but I love me some vanilla and just need some fresh places to shop.

Have you tried Bryce's Vanilla Creme Custard yet? Brian is the new vendor on the block and he is making big waves on the forum just like Nicoticket. I just got another 300ml of custard in the mail today, it's that good. I prefer it hands down to CB and CLS. Brian also makes vanilla pudding, vanilla cupcake and canoli.

My favorite vanilla is mount baker vapor's vanilla butternut. It was a freebie and I would have never ordered it because it says butternut... But omg delicious. Very yummy vanilla, tasty, sweet goodness. It was a nice surprise in my order. I loved it so much I ordered 4 oz of the flavor mix and make my own cause I Vape it constantly.
