Greetings all

I've been reading and reading for days now. I think I may have my shopping list ready to go but I would love your input! I'm extremely hopeful of landing a Grand next week. Hopefully a painfully slow internet connection won't punish me too severely...LOL

OK, I've got AW IMR18650 1600mAh LiMN batteries and a charger in my cart at lighthound. I've got drip tips and Cisco LR510 atty's in 2.0, 1.8, and 1.5 ohms in my cart at Avid Vapor. I plan to pick up a multimeter at the local Home Depot. I've got a 5-gallon bucket (OK that may be a wee bit of an exaggeration :D) of my favorite juice on the way. I even ordered some zero nic juice so that the eagerly anticipated vaping coma doesn't interfere with important things like feeding the critters...LOL

Am I missing anything? Am I set to start clicking buttons that say things like "buy now", "this way to the poor house", and "vaping bliss lies here"?? :D

Many thanks for your help!

Sounds like you got it covered.

If you aren't dead set on Cisco attys to start with, you could probably save a few dollars by getting your meter, batteries, charger, attys, and drip tips from RTDvapor.com

Edit: ECF5 is the coupon code for 5% off at RTDvapor. Also, buy one plastic case for every two 18650 batteries you buy. Those cases are awesome. :D

Some people think so...and others do not. Honestly....I think its kind of a personal taste thing. :)
I just wanted to add that it might be a good idea to have other juices available. I noticed that when I started using my REO that the juices I liked on my eGo weren't as good on my REO...perhaps it was during that transition time too....I was still smoking a couple cigs a day while using my eGo. eh...nevermind  Perhaps that won't be an issue for you. :D

Cartos are great for beginners Boge 2.0 or the smoke tech 1.7 or the 2.0 work great. Welcome Bluewater :)

Many thanks, Rob! You, sir, are an evil genius without the evil part...LOL

OK, that's one thing that still escapes me. What the heck is a carto?

Many thanks for all the great advice everyone! This forum is awesome!

Cartos are like atties, but they have filler in them that holds juice in the fibers above the coils...the main benefit to using them on a bottom fed device is that they hold the juice in there so you are less likely to fill your reservoir with juice that can be spilled if knocked over. Atties get dry and if you're not paying attention to keeping it wet, you get that awful dry burn that hurts. That is a real deterrent for someone who is new to vaping. Cartos just make it easier to keep it wet for new vapers.
:)

Here is a couple links...but you can get these darn near anywhere now.

Just FYI, I always considered myself an "atty" type of guy. But everyone was raving about those smoktechs that Rob and others sell, so I ordered a few to try. They are a pretty fine vape, and I haven't even noticed the "cartomizer" aftertaste with them. It's a nice warm vape, with tons of vapor, and the flavor comes thru just fine.

You might want to snag a few of those too.

When you're ready, you can get spare 6ml bottles at Perfumer's Apprentice. Nice and cheap and a perfect fit.

ETA: and welcome to REOville!

Sounds like you have it covered.

Its good to try them out with juice your familiar with. And remember Zero Nic has Zero Throat hit as well :( IMHO.
So you might want to start off with your usual nic strength so you get the full REO WOW effect. Then switch out if you think your overdoing it.

Good luck on sale night.

I'll be routing for you getting a grand this round bluewater :)

What are your thoughts on a mini reo? They are also great too - and just like everyone else in this wonderful place called reoville - everyone has at least 2 reo's. Once you have one its a given that you're going to want more....and more....and more. As someone here in the forum said before, reo's are like potato chips - you can't have just one.

HA! I've already got the itch and I haven't even hit on one yet!

Greetings Lori and thanks for your well wishes! I keep having this recurring daymare that, with my incredibly slow internet connection, I'll just be watching Grand after Grand disappear from my shopping cart as I repeatedly try to check out.

I see that there are still mini's available on the site and I've almost pulled the trigger a coupla times. From what I've read, battery life is shorter and the hits are a bit weaker on the mini, no? I keep dreaming though...a Grand next week - a Woodvil for Thanksgiving - a VV for X-mas - and welfare soon thereafter...LOL Can't wait! Can't wait!

LOL, I hear people say that the Mini doesn't hit as hard as the Grand, but I think it is more that the battery doesn't hit as hard for as long. People have their preferences, and fortunately there is a perfect REO for us all. I just love having a fabulous mod that isn't much bigger than a Zippo; but I always say, I'm a Mini gal :)

I think the mini's are awesome. For me the mini can hit just as hard as anything (I think it has to do with having the right type of batteries - AW's are the best). Sure the battery life doesn't last as long as the grand does, but for my vaping style I only need to change up once a day. I go through about 3ml of juice which I think is the average. Lots of reo vets here actually prefer the mini because of the size. I'm going to add a third reo to my family soon and its going to be another mini - ugh, I'm so behind everyone else lol

Ya, I've got a mini and a grand. I like the mini. I use it just as much as the grand. Using the grand more at 5v. Nice to have both near. Sure the battery isn't going to last as long as the 18650 but as far as performance goes, it hits the spot. I like to take the mini out and about since it fits nicely in a pants pocket. Dropped it once, bent the 306 atty at a 90 degree angle. Picked it up, pushed the atty back in the conector and vaped on with out a hitch. Ole butterfingers has had box mods break into pieces after hitting the concrete. Aw's are the best batteries.
