Realized I've been here asking questions and such and hadn't introduced myself yet, so here goes!

I started smoking young, at about 13. That was 35 years ago (man, the math scares me!) with one short 6 month period of not smoking in my mid 20's.
In August of '09 I had a mild heart attack. I tried to quit then to no avail, and decided to try vaping. I wound up drinking the Blu koolaid, and they worked for a little while until I burned out both atties and couldn't get any for a few weeks (they were having supply issues in those days, are they still?) Being left with a bunch of carts, a couple batteries and no atties, it was back to analogs.
I did recieve a couple of atties and just put them in the box with the rest of the stuff, as I was determined to rid myself of nicotine altogether. Little did I know...
I wound up trying lozenges, gum, the patch and Chantriz. None of it worked, and let me tell you, when you have a patch on while sucking on a lozenge and then smoke, the dreams are horrendous! lol. I figured at some point I was just going to smoke until I died from it, totally giving up.
A couple of days ago I was looking for something and ran into that Blu box. I dusted it off and plugged in the charger. Long story short, in three days I've smoked three analogs, one the first thing each morning (somehow I still need that "quick fix" first thing in the a.m.
I've now ordered a Hello 016 kit which should be here tomorrow or the next day and today I pulled the plug on a regular 510 kit as I don't want to use the Blu anymore for those times it's not socially acceptable to have that big batt. in my mouth, you know? I've also ordered some cartos and some juice, and plan to be analog free very shortly!
Since the heart attack, I've taken up cycling. I can currently do 60 miles (if it's flat) in a day, and I really want to increase it to a "century" (100 miles in bicycling terms) and I think I can do it without the analogs!
Also, I'm taking a short two day tour in June, which is further motivation.
I enjoy vaping and, outside first thing in the morning, I haven't even wanted a cigarette, which is something even a heart attack scare couldn't take away from me! I honestly think vaping will save my life or at least add 10 years, as I consider myself one of those nic addicts who just has to have his dose inhaled, you know?
Anyways, just want to say thanks for all the help so far, and hopefully I'll learn enough to be a help to someone else one day!
You guys rock, by the way! :toast:

Welcome! Like you, I feel vaping has added years to my life. I just wish this had been available 20 or 30 years ago. It scares me that the government in many states is trying to take this away from us.

It reminds me of what George Carlin said when they proposed getting rid of toy guns. "...and they're gonna keep selling the #$@*ing real ones!" Really, analogs are one of the biggest killers in the world so you'd think that anything that helped people get off of them would be embraced! Go figure, it's all about money and who has paid who off, sickening really.
