Short of Breath with VG

So I got my new E-juice from tasty vapor. I read somewhere in forum that 80/20 PG/VG had a better vapor so I ordered it in 80/20. Not only does it taste like plastic to me but it immediatly made me Short of Breath. Has anyone ever had a reaction like this to VG. PG does just fine.

Has anyone else had a reaction like this to VG. I could literally feel my lungs constrict. I thought most people reacted to PG. Wasn't expecting that. I don't know if it's just an allergy or what?

I've heard of people who were "sensitive" to VG, but not "allergic". You may want to sell your Tasty Vapor w/VG in the Classified section, or give it to a friend. Then just avoid VG.

I am seriously allergic to coconut and most 99.5% of VG is made out of coconut oil. Constriction of the lungs is a sure sign of allergy. Please be carefull!

Will definately not be using it anymore. Good thing I don't have a problem with PG. Interesting about the coconut oil. Did not know that. Might need to get tested for coconut allergy. Thanks for the info.

I've filled 5 carts of brand new bottle of Tastyfinger and 5 carts of brand new bottle of Carmel,Mocha,Menthol. Can't use it with this allergic reaction to it. Anyone want it send me a PM and you can send me a prepaind envelope. I'll send it to you. Hate for it to go to waste.

Very interesting about VG, and you are correct, coconut oil is a part of it. I'm sure a lot of folks may have allergies to it, but are unaware.

I went on vacation at an island resort in the Philippines and got sick because everything made there had coconut oil in it. Fortunately I could buy any medication I needed without a prescription.

I too had an immediate shortness of breath, but it was more of a "take your breath away" kind of experience, and I attribute it to the Cinnamon in their Atomic Cinnacide, as I've tried others with VG and did not experience the problem.

I do just fine with PG so I don't think I will take any chances with VG anymore. I think I will just assume I'm allergic to either VG or the cocconut in it and stay away from it. I like the taste of PG better anyway.

I don't feel a shortness of breath but with 50% or more VG it does make my mouth and throat feel raw and dry. I still use it to some effect as I like the added vapor consistency and sweetness. It is all about finding your sweet spot. I am just glad not to be smoking analogs anymore, talk about shortness of breath, yikes.

It may not be the VG - may be the flavourings. A few others had posted about probs w/that while using TV juice. Just an observation.

I found the same reaction to VG. Even 25% was enough to make life miserable. Watch out for eliquids from TW. they are all 25% vg.

If you have a sensitivity to coconut oil, I would think that even a small amount would cause problems. Safer to avoid altogether.

I think I will stick to PG. It works just fine and am very happy with it.

I am a little late to this post, but yes VG did the same thing to me. I had been vaping PG fine for 2 months, then I tried a VG. NO WAY. I was coughing, choking, and could barely talk. I don't think that I have a problem with coconut, but I don't care for it. I don't know if that's it, but PG is it for me.

Maybe that's why I've never been a big fan of coconut ... sensitive to VG here; same chest tightness with wheezing thrown in just for fun. Gotta love the ol' immune system sometimes.

It sucks being limited because some brands only make blends. I just email the company for an ingredient check before ordering. Well at least thier is still plently of good stuff to Vape out there!
