Yesterday
Had a new Smoktech mini 1.7 clear carto on my Riva 650mah Enjoying some Maple/blueberry/Waffle.
Short version - Defective Cartomizer - top coil twisted down overlapping other coils. Add Enough heat expansion and BANG! dead short.(Did not know this yet)

Fresh charged Riva 650mah good for 8+hrs Blinks 3 times - Take carto off to change check/battery. Press button and battery seems still charged. Placed carto on ego 650 and vapes ok. Put the carto back on the Riva and everything is working okay.

15 minutes later, after several vapes and a top off, I'm taking a draw and get 3 blinks again. Light goes out and now will not light up at all - CARTO IS STILL FIRING - removed carto - battery has no reaction to pressing button.

THIS BATTERY IS LOCKED ON without any indicator light or timeout ALWAYS ON NOW(well, until it dies) any carto/clearo/tank screwed on till immediately fire.

DO NOT COUNT ON BUILT IN PROTECTION - IT CAN FAIL

Basically after everything went to !#@$ I found the carto had dropped to .5ohms using my VV tubes ohms tester. Took the carto apart and discovered the faulty assembly.
$17 Battery ruined by a $1.49 Carto:facepalm:

That actually was your built-in protection. It stopped the battery from exploding due to it being exposed to a short. (A short can cause a battery to overheat and/or explode in a matter of seconds.) You should actually be relieved the battery did what it did when presented with a shorted or super low-res carto.

You mis-understand. The Battery is still FIRING. Always on. The switch/protect has failed and defaulted to always on instead of locking OFF
