Shortening the Magma 510

The Magma 510 connector is too long and the Magma doesn't sit plush on most of my mods.
I though of shortening it by grinding off the screw head and a bit of the 510 base, but i don't want to damage it.
Has someone successfully do it?

Why not find a 22mm washer instead and Not ruin the Magma.

Magma fits fine on ALL my adjustable pin mods.

It definitely doesn't sit flush on my ipv 2 even with the pin screwed in all the way. But I wouldn't take the risk really.

I'm not afraid the 510 connector will break because it raised, I'm just bothered by the way it looks and a washer wont fix that.

a washer would fill the gap between atty and mod though. wait, is that even what your trying to do?

A washer would fix a functional problem but not the visual one.
I'm trying to make look better not worst.

You are thinking Galvanized junk washers.

Think Stainless/Brass/Copper - a Beauty ring to fill the gap.
22mm will exactly match the diameter of the Magma.

An Origin RDA might, and I stress Might, be a better fit. I will have mine in by next week. I will do some fitting and see.

Remember, most Regulated mods are of restricted design due to the circuitry under the head. They are also (or have been) designed primarily for atomizer that draw air through the bottom. Those need space around the base to allow air to enter.

I've done this on another mod... Just make sure the threads are clear after grinding

Well, if you Have to try this, Remember:

Check your center post/screw for available threading. It will have to thread in further.
Check the Post mounting to Verify room for that screw to thread further.
Verify your thread count. You have to have enough threading to stabilize the Atty.
You will likely need to cut down the lower insulator.

Just did it.. Bc it bothered me too... Short in the center pin to the point that u can barely get grip with a flat head then shorten the 510 connection and insulator to match... 3-4 ridges left on the 510 threads
